What a FUN Weekend!!!! 🙂 Opened this kit at 8pm Friday evening (at the start of the 48 hr Group Build) and took the '29 to a Model Contest Sunday at Noon.
Glad you covered this kit. You did a good job too. I'm hangin' to do this kit myself, although I couldn't make the G.B. Yours turned out nice, real old style. 👍 🦘
Your video inspired me to pick up one of these '29 kits, I am thinking of doing a patina job on the body using your salt trick and using the steelie wheels painted gun metal, I think it should look cool.
That turned out great Tim. Inspired me to get mine back out. When I got mine it the window frame was warped beyond use. Revell did send me a new one but I had lost interest in it by then. Gonna pull it back out this week and get back on it. And btw from the videos I’ve been watching from this group build yours is in the lead.
Great looking hot rod Tim. This kit is so cool as is it's sister kit the 30 model A coupe. Both are very well engineered kits & a treasure trove of spare parts. See you in this GB next year. Keep having fun.
This build is super sweet! Nicely detailed on every corner and all that done in 48hrs!! Great job done Tim! Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend.
I really like your build style Tim! That thing looks great! It's hard to believe you built it so fast (did you get any sleep?)! You gotta like how fast Tamiya lacquer dries. I have an earlier issue of this kit with the nailhead Buick engine. I have to be different than everybody else so I want to use the body from a previously built but unpainted AMT 1928 Ford 2- door sedan that has opening doors. The challenge will be to chop the top while retaining the opening doors. I know there are resin chopped sedan bodies available but I want to use this one. I haven't decided which frame I want to use yet but it will probably have a dark grey primered body with black top and frame and red steelies like yours. Keep building my friend!
💤😴Not much sleep Daniel as I was pushing to have the '29 finished in time to take to the Car Show/Model Contest on Sunday.🙂 That will be a challenging build but also a VERY COOL build that you have in mind. Now that sounds like my type of Hot Rod.... 👍😉
You're right, Tim, this is a great kit. I have built two, have two more unbuilt, and plan on buying a half dozen or so more before they're discontinued. Excellent job on your build.
Very cool little hot rod!! The flat black makes it!! I enjoy your videos of the builds, I might have to borrow some of your ideas and implement them into my videos.
Right on Tim! What a great 48 hour group build video🎥 Good stuff. From the unboxing to the model show entry. 🏆 Awesome build and content buddy👍 Throttle Power Rocks
Thanks 👍 Pete, I thought you might like this build. 🙂👍 Heck, I would like to have something like that in real life. This week is the Street Rod Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky and I'm really excited to see some street rods. 😊🍻
Oh cool, it's a GREAT kit that I'm sure you will enjoy!! No issues and it goes together easy. Plus you have 2 options on the building style. Glad you enjoy the channel.... 👍🙂👍
Nice I kinda want to get another 39 after seeing your video I'm going to pro street her, just gotta find some 1/24 slicks lol! Great job on the 29 too brother!
Cool build, and yea I have at least 5 roadster kits and two coupes in my stash still haven't built one box stock, i started to then ended up changing things around lol, but yea those model A kits from revell are some sweet kits
I was trying to detail a dashboard. I was listening to a mixer of music. Then Warpig come on. I lost all my concentration. Needless to say I had to stop. Because I lost my concentration. Lol 😂😂
Thanks for Sharing. Got this on bench and I noticed you didn't do Plug Wires on your build, but wanted to in beginning. Is there a reason you could share as to why you didn't do Plug Wires? Thanks again
If I remember right that was my 48 HR Group Build build. And I wanted to take it to a show in that 48 HR time period that we all had to build a model..... So I ran out of time.
koool kit 4 sure...hey buddy , yer gonna laff @ me now tho....u kno I been workin' on that '65 Jag....well , I challenged mahself to finish th car , over a weekend.....lol , funny thing...now goin' on 2 wks. yep this one put up sum walls for me , had to go back over a few things...lol , got a few "spare" parts....lol...anyways comin' together , gonna be kool...havva good one Tim KUTGW RJ ps The Jag kit , is one o mah Grail/Bucketlist kits...had 1 @ 3 yrs old
not quite unique as it is very close to the car in "The Giant Gila Monster" which was a famous hot rod : "The Mulkey-Duke '32 Roadster from Dallas was in that movie. John Mulkey won the street roadster class at the 1958 NHRA Nationals in Oklahoma City in this car." Apparently bought by Richard Rawlings, who did it up and sold it to a buyer in Thailand!
