Especially after talking to them about it and complaints to the landlord, still nothing.

People who cant keep their dog quiet needs to get rid of their dog. I never leave my dogs outside and if they cant behave inside I have a crate for them. They arent that expensive to build a large one. I only paid around 50 to build one for 3 dogs (2 50 lbs and one 70)
Why not build housing specifically for everyone with dogs. Let them all live together with pissy grass and crap smeared all over stuff. And let those of us who want to live a pet free life do so!
City officials here amaze the hell out of me. Part of their job is enforcing city ordinances, including those against barking dogs. If the neighbors could have worked it out, this segment on the news would not be needed. The problem is simple--barking dogs destroying the peace of neighbors. Solution--dog owners control the dogs. All this malarkey about "working with the neighbors" is ridiculous. City officials here need to get tough and put an end to this problem.

I can relate to having no guarantee on finding a better place. I've lived in 3 different apartments with thin walls and loud neighbors the last 8 years, and each time I moved I was told that the place was very quiet when in fact they weren't at all. Recently spent way more money and moved into a small 1 bedroom house thinking that the noise issues would mostly stop, but what I didn't think to consider was neighbors with barking dogs. Sure enough I found out the hard way that there are 2 of them 25 feet from my living room unattended 24/7 except when they take them in the garage in bad weather. I'm so tired of moving to try and get a quieter place and getting screwed over every single time, it's complete B.S.

I have the same problem. When the people next door goes out, one of their dogs which is an ugly looking cattle dog barks like crazy due to separation anxiety. I spoke with them, they made up a stupid story that they were moving in order to silence us but that won't work with me. I have now sent an official complaint to the council. Others have complained and the council has told me the owner has had temper tantrums and does not want to take responsibility. Matter will go to court eventually.

In the past, I have seen people coming to walk the dog when they were absent, but this time the dog was left alone.

a mild sedative or tranquilizer in some dog food works well too, along with a dart rifle with tranquilizer at a dose low enough to not kill the dog.
