Thanks for this. 1) what hardware (bolts) do you recommend for this, or just heavy-duty toggle bolts? 2) where are you routing your power cables? 3) should you treat ceiling studs similar to vertical studs in terms to weight support?
Could you theoretically used this upside down and attach it to a desk? Looked for a way to mount my tv over my desk, but the desk is in front of a window that I plan on opening every now and then.
It's linked in the description. If you took an allen key and unscrewed the top and then folded it up and then locked it back down it might hold, but I don't think it has a built in locking mechanism
If I knew this was going to be a permeant thing I would just install a receptacle in the ceiling above the Tv. Or Run small conduit out of the ceiling down behind the down rod for the mount and make an outlet behind the tv
The one I bought: amzn.to/2uxcHeD

Hey, I know it’s been a few years. Can the TV be folded up into the ceiling with this mount when not needed?
no it doesn't do that
How did the TV hook to the Mount
How about the wiring?

@@MTLJack yes thats basically the goal. Hang it like a huge portrait
Modern wireless tv 😂
I was trying to see that specific part!🤦🏾♀️
Does it fold up and lock? I need that kind to fold up on my porch in case of wind and rain
I wonder if we can support of the 60 inch TV
That’s how i imagined it hanging from the ceiling
Where can I get that exact amount and I need to know if it folds up to the ceiling because of wind and rain on my porch

I'm really considering this. The only thing holding me back is a power source. Any advice on the wiring there?

As long as the drill bit is smaller than the lag bolt
Does it fold up?
no it doesn't fold up. It just slides up and down on the vertical axis of the tube
