Watching this I was wondering if there was some special marker that magicians use to mark cards that can be wiped and cleaned later. It might be worth investigating with this trick of yours. As for magic tricks, I'm interested in the ones that don't require any skill. You are quite adept with your cards and I don't think I could do this even with practice. Your false shuffle is mesmerizing to watch, even slowing down the video.
I enjoy watching card magic but I can't do any. I appreciate that it takes a lot of practice to get it right and to do it fluidly. I suppose the critics here are professional magicians who can see faults in "Jack's" explanation. I think he did a great job! He explained how to do the trick. Now all any magician needs to do is develop their own version of it using whatever techniques and showmanship they can. This is not the place for showmanship; that's up to everyone to develop their own style. For example, Bill Malone is a superb showman, but his teaching videos are completely "dry" and technical. :)
Skinslayer1 Actually the critics are generally middle-school age or immature adults. As a magician I would not say the things that people have said here and neither would professional magicians. This guy does a good job explaining what he's doing.
I thought this was gonna be the one where someone signs the card, holds it in their mouth, bites down on it, while you get another card, sign it with your own signature, bite down on it, then after the trick they check the cards and the cards have switched signatures.
You've already heard a bit of criticism here but the trick was good. Things to work on to make it less noticeable is the fake shuffle at the beginning, riffle force, double lift. Don't run when no one is chasing. No need to "shuffle". Also there's better ways to force the bottom/top card that feel less "forceful"
After watching your channel a bit, I did realize you did a double lift. But not to be a broken record, a bit like everyone else, I realized no one else would know and this trick would be awesome!

Great tutorial. I especially like your segment on the false cut. One suggestion: In your description you say it is to "fool" friends and family. Wouldn't it be to "entertain" them. :-)
Are you guys serious? This guy has an amazing TH-cam Channel. Sure I saw what he did at first, but it doesn't matter. A beginner probably wouldn't know. Spectators would definitely not know. So stop being people who look at the bad and not the good.

He told me to pick a card so I did, Then he tells me to remember the suit and the number and tells me to put the card face down. He then counts Ace through king sequentially out loud looking at my face, then runs through the 4 suits. This trick is done purely on reading micro expressions. He nailed the card I had, just by seeing the reaction of my pupils. That's how the trick is done. Reading micro expressions.

You are kidding right? You're forcing the spectator to sign the back and the front of the same card. Hence the reason you deal down the 1st "selection" face up to not show the back. There are a lot of different ways to do this trick as long as you are able to force the same card twice.
I think you did a good job guy. But, there is so many other ways to do the trick that are better than this. This is good but needs work. And use a different dohble lift. Good job!

You may want to work on your double lifts, you're making it too noticeable, maybe try the push off double lift, it looks more natural.
