At first I really thought it was seized up, but I always seem to think the worst. It's amazing how a little problem can do so much. I'll be looking forward to see the part 2 Andrew.
Now that I've had time to actually work on my own saw.... Followed your exact sequence in an attempt to repair because my saw's piston had "seized". 1. Took off top pull starter cover Looks good. Put is back on. 2. Flipped saw over and removed chain sprocket tightening cover. Aha! Simple fix. Somehow the chain slipped off the rear sprocket ( mounted on crank) 3. Put chain back to where it is supposed to be and reassembled everything. The saw started an ran well Thanks again for your video.
I've got a Poulan 42 cc chain saw. Suspect it's seized up, internally. Did all the things you did, and it freed it up and it turned over fine, then it freezed up again in short order; won't turn when I try to turn the flywheel by hand or screw driver leverage. How do you tell if it's seized up internally, which is what I suspect is the problem. What are some of the common things internally that cause it to seize up. How much pain in the butt is it to take it apart and check the crankshaft, bearings, etc? Thanks much.
Sounded like a lack of spark to me. I'm sure you already checked the plug, but what about the wire to the magneto? Just a thought. You may have covered it and i missed it dealing with the kiddo lol. I'm sure you'll get it running.

Thank you for watching. I'm glad your saw's up and running
Thank you for the troubleshooting and maintenance ideas.
Thank you for checking out the channel
It's nice when things turn out to be easier than you first thought. It doesn't happen often. Usually it is the other way around.
Right the carburetor should be only problem now I'm dure
Great content. Thank you and please keep putting up more videos!!🇺🇸
Planning on it friend
Hi again, I’m going to look forward to working my ways through your video. Small engines are my thing 🙂👍
Sweet I do the same love the small engine guys

I will actually have a video soon on how to dismantle a pull in 42cc chainsaw from start to beginning
My MS250 is seized, but when i remove the plug it spins over easy, with pull start on. What's up with that? Does have proper plug in it.
I think the plug is wrong it's binding up
Did you ever figure it out? I was cutting down a tree with the same saw and I set it down for 1 minute max and it cut off now super hard to pull
@@joseb3025 that could be vapor lock
@@RepairGang what exactly is vapor lock? Is it fixable lol
@@joseb3025 yeah should start fine after a break but main reason it's running to much fuel needs adjustment
Thanks for making this video 👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks for watching
Yes sir I'm looking for the part two carbarator repair.
Oil on the recoil attracts dust! You want the dirt to fall out not stick on everything.

Actually haven't checked I will though I'm sure it's carb but could be spark
Wait I'm tripping lol I did test it because off camera I pour gas in spark plug hole and it fired up like a beautiful woman
@@RepairGang ahhh. Definitely a fuel delivery issue, then.
Definitely would not take my saws to this guy
Makes sense because I don't like 2 strokes
Hey bro my chainsaw is literally fucked up is there any chances that it will be fixed
Yes very real chance my guy
Just pack your wallet
Great video 📹
Thank you
If it turns over, its not seized.
First thing I do is pull the chain off, bar my be burned up
Maybe in reality
hahahahah !!!!
I'm missing the joke lol
