Man I'm with you, High Rock lake is my nemesis. I've fished it 4 times now and have 1 fish to show for it. I can't figure them out to save my life. I have a tournament coming up at the end of the month and as you can see I've resorted to TH-cam for some inspiration, haha. Thanks for sharing your struggles... you definitely aren't alone!
It is bad for sure. I have one coming up in June again. No idea what I will do this time. All my buddies have struggled also. Thanks for the comments and for watching the video. Good luck on the tournament! Let me know how it goes 👊🏻🇺🇸
Bring some pumpkin seeds and chartreuse worms. They bite them upper mainly hit wood and docks. That’s about it but they are some very good fish in the lake. Also go over towards river road area. It’s called. Tuckertown.
First off, Thanks for your Service. I live near the lake and thought it was pretty cool to watch a pro fish the same lake. I've caught a few 4's and 5's fishing from the kayak. Looks like a little local knowledge would have been very helpful. Good luck!
I fish it all the time and I can’t figure it out. Every tournament I fish it takes 20 pounds to win. I’ll fish Tuckertown or Badin any day before I fish high rock. It’s tough
that place will make you want to quit fishing. I have sat and picked apart a piece of cover without a bite, only to have someone come right behind me and catch a 5 lber.
One other thing I'll say about High Rock, being local and fishing that place often. There is a metric ton of off shore cover. A lot of it is planted brush piles on channel swings in that 15-20 feet depth. You can spend an entire week there graphing and marking brush on the channels and 5-15 feet off of docks. If you come back I'd say spend a solid 4-6 hours just graphing and marking. And make a run to the very back of Abbott's, just before and after the 47 bridge. It's loaded with flooded brush and cypress trees. It's sketchy getting back in there, but a jig or bladed jig produce some solid fish from back in there.
thanks to share, In the particular lake bass bait offend with pit boss with red tone
