You need a level 3 axe to get in there. There is a splinter wall blocking you. I found this out the hard way.

Spicy = Fire
Sour = Lightning
Mint = Ice / Water
Salt = Earth
And maybe we could get an air type of thing?

It would make sense for it to have a earth elemental attack with the others being ice fire and electric
Maybe a salty laser that is really high range (the lasers would act like the orange lasers from the assistant manager fight, but of course don’t spin)

The sour staff shoots like a BFG from Doom eternal :b
They should add a salt staff that’s earth elemental themed and shoots acidic salt crystals in a mist that lowers enemies armor/defense and makes them take more damage from other sources while debuffed from the corrosive salt staff, maybe charging it up releases a huge salt bolder that explodes on impact leaving a corrosive salty acid pool wherever it hits that leaves a pool of lingering caustic salty damage that hurts all who walk into it.🤓
Like a brine launcher?, that sounds cool!
What about something completely new like a defense staff to keep it simple give it the salt element and then make it like you can shot a little salt crystal wall infront or around you that stays for a couple seconds or gives enemy a debuff
@@jeremybender3712 my problem is that I'd want to use the staff offensively too against antlions and termites, that said I think that idea would be cool to replace the heavy attack of staves, obvi rework the mint staff but having a defensive alternative does sound like a fun mechanic
@@goof827 but than they could add a new addition to the mixr like make one super mega mixr where you can play against more waves with your friends there’s a lot space how you could design this like make a endless waves or make it like 30/40/50 waves idk but imagine you and your 3 friends (sad because I’m playing alone) fighting in wave 30 against 2 black widows
@@goof827 and a general thought where i rly hope they add it are snails like I don’t get why we have these fucking desert ant kings but no snails anywhere like new tier 2/3 armor with snail shells or a new weapon from snails teeth’s not many know but there hella stronge for they’re size
Is the whittle wizard mutation bugged right now? I’ve killed 100s of bugs with the staves but still haven’t gotten it
Yeah, it is currently bugged for a lot of players
Been playing with it for the last few days and killed all the bosses with the staves as well as tons of bugs.
We will just have to wait on obsidian to drop a patch for it.

Why was the location of the chip not the first thing? Kinda ruins the surprise of using them ourselves... disappointed for sure

I got the candy mutation thing before I even knew that the staves existed so I think you can get the mutation by just using any weapon that naturally has fresh, spicy, or sour on it
also bring a top tier 3 axe to chop down splinters... learned the hard way
me too, got all the way in there only to find I needed the "termite" axe". So you have to kill some first then go all the way back to base to make one, then go back. Quite a hike!
Why can’t we upgrade shields or use repair glue on them so annoying
I got all the staffs best weapons to use on black widows. And when I use the mix.r I scream non shell pass.

If you need to farm ant parts, here ya go:
*it's easier to wear red ant armor for this, they can't see you in it unless you hit them
1. Go to the anthill
2. Piss off a nearby stink bug
3. Drag said stink bug to the anthill
4. Get it to splash gas on the anthill
5. Get outa there
The stink bug will take down everything in the first wave and a ton of other ants. This does not count towards seiges, as YOU didn't kill the ants. Go collect the corpses
By doing this, a bunch of ant eggs will spawn. You can check immediately, I always find at minimum 2-6 from this method, but I'm unsure how ant eggs properly work
I just got stuck half in the tarp near the top of the wood pile. A mosquito attacked me clipping me into it. Can't jump, run, walk, can only turn around and duck.
If you where planning on running through and dying and respawning and didn't bring all your gear.. bring an axe.. tier 3 to get in there's splinters blocking the path.. it's not shown in the video or mentioned that you need it....

@@84bt I didn't bring an axe. I dropped all my gear outside at a respawn point (died of starvation) then booked it avoiding termites, tiger mosquitos and wolf spiders as much as possible. But I've upgraded these staffs fully and personally I think they kinda suck. I wanted it to replace the bow but don't think I can.
I am amazed they didn't make a second tier crafting table for end game equipment
Have you actually ever unlocked the staff perk because I have killed hundreds of enemies with the staves and still not gotten a perk for them.
It was bugged but I believe they fixed it in the most recent patch

My game keeps crashing, I just took out several mosquitos, orb weavers, and a single wolf spider. While fighting an orb weaver and orb weaver junior my game just crashed.
Yea I’ve never experienced a crash but after 1.0 it’s crashed 3 times in 2 days
Maybe they will repair it and fix it over time ?
@@noahmorales3768 Just make sure to save frequently and all should be fine. I just stepped away for a few and am loading it back up now to see where the last save was. I’ve got my hunting technique down so I really didn’t lose too much. Just hard to lure wolf spiders into the spot at the oak tree where the milk molar was under the stacked leaves.
I have had twice since 1.0 . But I'm also on Xbox if that helps..

Sim my friend died with thors pendant equiped but when he respawned he didn’t have it anymore or any of his armoury please help I don’t think it’s recoverable
It could still be in the bag, go to game repair in the game menu and press recover backpack

You have to have the oven. You bake them into the globs.

Also the staffs crafting recipes should all involve the haze fungus being infused into the staff to create a living weapon that shoots out highly reactive fungal spores that are infused with the chemicals in the candy causing them to produce different effects that look like magic but it’s really just a strange form of a sci-fi weapon. The citric acid in the wormhole sour candy reacts with the unstable haze fungus spores to make a ball of electrical discharges, the capsaicin in the hot cha chas reacts explosively and is highly flammable due to the spores being sensitive/reactive to oxygen, the mint staff expels a fine mist of haze spores mixed with the cooling menthol in the mints to create a freezing mist of thermal hungry spores that slow enemies down. If they add a salt staff my hypothesis is the salt fusing with the fungal spores would dehydrate them and make them extremely moisture hungry to the point of being an extremely caustic substance that strips water from those hit by it in a way that lowers armor defense by literally melting it while lowering hp over time like poison damage but it’s neither poison nor venom so spiders aren’t immune to its effects, it would be a new damage called caustic damage though that might already be in the game as Bombardier beetles termites and fire ants do use burning acid as a projectile weapon.🤓

Sadly though for the Sour Staff your limited with gathering it since your need 1 Widow Fang, 4 Deadly Venom, and 10 Woven Silk (Spider Web.) which sadly the Black Widows are to this day not respawnable.
Just like last time with Fireflies respawning this is now a reoccurring issue. Whenever there’s an update something bound to break, sheathed bugs or resources not respawning.
Sadly for most players who managed to get the Widow Dagger there are those, including me who haven’t gotten it and are sadly Softlocked from getting the Sour Staff.
I’ve had widows respawn twice so far tho?
It takes many many days in game for some resources and creatures to respawn.. my friend also noticed that the way to get lint and other stuff to respawn is with actually sleeping. If you're not slepping it apparently interferes with respawns
Black widows has a 10 day respawn time or something
Not sure if it was the new patch but they respawn pretty regular for me now I just went and farmed a couple an hour ago for the armor and I just got the dagger yesterday

made a new custom save to see if maybe it was because my main save was before 1.0 and still nothing with over 350 kills counted.

u need widow dagger to grab moss and you need 4 super venom for the widow dagger and not always do black widows drop the venom
