Exactly. This happens every time in foreign countries and this is very disrespectful to the maestros as well as our Indian Classical Music and it hurts because I'm a Tabla player myself.
The thing about evolution... it is nearly impossible to stop a hive mind. The way Tabla is moving is mind blowing. Tabla makers are planning their future in the Western world... it clesrly shows the growth. But, what many hungry students that don't get much reach in India, so best choice is to go explore the west n become teachers, but hungry students are hungry for change and to be westernised, they are not interested in imparting culture, leave alone the "culture of tabla".
Manas Babu, I agree with you, Nobody should not play with Anindo Babu, I did not want, but it was Guru's order which i hv to listen..............
