    One, if not the best explanations on what if with the driver! No nonsense just the physics explained for the average golfer. Thx😊

    I have learned more in the last week binge watching your channel, dumped the training aids , bought some wedges , a broom and a gym ball , fantastic insights for a golf geek like myself

    I am an excellent driver of the ball, and i have had countless range sessions of distance wedges to warm up and 60+ balls drivers only (today was about 100). You gain incredible control with driver that way.

    Great video Stuart. I find that the wounded mallard happens when my body tries to avoid the slice and overcompensates. Watched this twice to fully absorb and very helpful

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Peter - easily done. Over compensation is a common fault based on a lack of feels and understanding. Thanks for sharing your experiences! Best wishes Stu 😊

      Stu, don't we lose distance not hitting the sweet spot? Heel shots esp?

  • @garysatterfield7805
    @garysatterfield7805 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    ......😂.......too funny........ excellent explanation Stu. I really think me concentrating on excessive side bend and trying to hit up on the ball has messed up my driver swing lately.. Now, me trying excessive side bend and trying to hit up on the ball in no way means that I use to watch other channels 😁....thanks ⛳🍺

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hitting up on the driver is so so over rated, really is. Move well, generate speed “honestly” and you’ll hit up or at least “level” with ease. Hitting up always ends in heel strikes with a hint of block slice or a wounded mallard left. 😂😤Best wishes Stu 😊

    Excellent coaching. Well explained and demonstrated. I have mentioned to other people to watch your video content if you want a no nonsense approach and improve your golf. Even at 60 years old I’m learning so much from you. I’m an expat living in New Zealand and would love to visit you next year when visiting UK. Keep up the great work you do for us amateur golfers.

    Thanks for the videos and clear translation of cause and effect. You have helped get from an 8 to a 5 handicap this season alone. I know the rest of journey to scratch is the short game. I suspect teaching short game on the sim is difficult. Can you point me to a creator you follow about the short game? Any plans to do short game videos? Keep it up Stewart, you have by far helped me improve the most in my understanding of how to deliver the golf club to the ball.

      Great vid Stu , making progress with the new swing but struggling with the driver ,🤷‍♂️ hook and slice can be either from swing to swing , will persevere for a while , but think I'll be back to see you again soon 😂🏌🏻

    Thanks Stu, a great insight into the driver and helps me better understand why at times, I see a different shape to the rest of my bag. A question for me though is, how would we measure the data points that you had on the screen ? Most people don’t have access to the equipment you have. It would be useful to have access to that equipment so you can try to replicate what you did just to better understand strike and effects it has on the ball flight.

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mark - without the radar, trackman, GC Quad, its not possible. But, hopefully, you can get some time with a radar measuring device soon and let me know what you find! Best wishes Stu 😊

    At last the pennies dropped ..
    Explains why when im hitting it well and centre face i can get either a baby fade or baby draw . Explains why sometimes my open stance can produce draws when im playing face and path for a fade 🤷🏻‍♂️ . And vice versa .
    I very much hit it all over the face with driver …..

      Stuart, another good video. The driver has been my nemesis and this helps me quite a bit. Thanks for the excellent explanation of how a driver works via face-to-path and hitting the heel or toe. I knew these things in theory but seeing them in action clarified my understanding. Again, thanks. Cheers.
