  • Hey all,
    today I am back with grammar 때문에/-기 때문에 which means "because of..." You will see several ways to use this grammar in this video, if you have anything that got you confused, please let me know.
    Clausal connective -어/아서 is a grammar that also has the usage of "because" and I explained the difference between the two :) If you are not sure of -어/아서, I have a video for it so go watch it and come back for your better understanding!
    Without further ado, enjoy the video.
    Thanks always for watching 💜

    You totally deserve more subs! I just found your channel yesterday. I'm now in intermediate-advanced korean level now (I've been learning for 4 years now) Learning is now way easier for other foreigners like me! Thanks to someone like you for contributing to the community.

    Really great lesson and presentation style. I like how you keep the vocabulary fairly simple. It's satisfying to pause the video to see if I can read and understand the example before you talk about it. But I really appreciate how you break down each sentence word by word. That is extrememly helpful.

    I already discovered your channel before, but I’m really grateful for your videos. I hope you keep making informative videos about Korean culture, expressions, and the language itself (both grammar and vocabulary). Thank you so much! ❤️✨

    I'm looking at several sources that say -기 때문에 should not be used for commands or suggestions. Is that right?

  • @hwaguo8383
    @hwaguo8383 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    선생님...when you mention that 때문에 carries a negative impact...can it be accidentally interpreted as scornful or sarcastic if you attempted to use 때문에 in a manner of praise?I fear of offending people the wrong way...hope to hear from you 😅

    • @timeforkorean
      @timeforkorean  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s a good question! When you are praising someone, you would avoid using 때문에. Instead you could use 덕분에 which means “thanks to~; due to someone’s help~”. Hope this helped 😁
