Offense good BUT QB play was only quick drop back passes and no down field throws BECAUSE of online play AND sometimes the QB was too short to see over the lineman. Also after 6 years in college QB arm is not a strong one

Oregon will have its hand full shiutting down the Boise offiense. The weakness of Boise is the defensive backfield. Not a lot to lose for Boise with a close loss, but i f Oregon doesnt show a dominant win, that will hurt Oregon’s chance at a playoff slot. Boise has had this game circled onto their schedule. The question I have about Oregon is whether Gabriel will be as good as Nix? I think Nix was very good and I'm not convinced that Gabriel will match that but tbd. He's still very good but Nix played at a very high level last year and that's tough to match in my opinion.
I tend to agree, while DG is really good, Nix was a level above and something I feel like is underrated is Bo had 2 years at Oregon. While different OC's he knew his teammates and had time to master the offense. I do think this defense will be another level this year tho which could be the equalizer.

I think Oregon might be in the middle of what we just saw and a top 3 contender. I love Oregon, but I'm not so sure the offensive line can make as much improvement as is needed. That game didn't remind me of the Georgia game. It honestly reminded me of 2021 Fresno State. A gane you felt like the Ducks should win by 20+ but came down to the wire. The vibes in the stadium were similar to that game for me.
O Line looked vulnerable. The alignment penalties absolutely have to stop. It didn’t feel like the crowd was into it from the beginning. That wasn’t impressive. Hopefully the scare this week will fuel better play going forward. Go Ducks!

Ive been saying this for a year, that they need to run some option, or miss direction stuff. Just a handful of those plays will slow up rhe linebackers. Stiens play calling in short yardage is very predictable in short yardage and in the red zone. All idaho did was use the same deffensive plan rhat washington used last season, and they still havent figured it out, thats concerning. Adding a fullback isnt the answer to this problem.

They are soft, the line is soft, they seem soft mentally. Even USC seems better than this Oregon team right now. I think they are going to struggle a lot more than people think. I think Oregon takes a step back this year and maybe ends up around 8-4, 7-5. This team is a long ways from being ready to compete at a high level. They definitely don't have the O line to succeed this year. The D line is further along but the O line is nowhere near what you need to compete in the BIG10. I don't even think they will be undefeated by the time they play Ohio State. They might not even be in the top 25 by the time they play Ohio State. This team has some real issues and I also think the coaching is starting to show some problems. You have way to much talent and to conservative of an offense. Oregon seems to always lack some of the air power that other teams have, even though they have talented receivers. I used to think it was a development problem but now its starting to show that its a coaching problem. Oregon coaches play it to safe. From Mario with Herbert to Dan with the receivers he has. This offense is offensive.

Our coaching staff mixing and matching numerous different o line combinations has to stop if the o line is to be effective or even hopefully dominant. The lack of consistency at any one o line position showed up horribly yesterday and they need to have defined roles and reps to create the cohesion we all want to see!🤞🤞
Dylan needs to move within the pocket more efficiently. I'm not saying he had a bad game but he did not have pocket awareness at times...granted the OLine play was flat out poor.
I kind of disagree w Pickard playing well. I don’t think he picked off his assignments well and the o line issues looked like miscommunication issues which usually falls on the center. I think Poncho should go back to C and just have anyone else at guard. Cornelius was rated as a first round pick last year and he didn’t play up to his standard. Boise has never been picked to beat the ducks. Oregon has never beat the Broncos that I can remember and I'm 60. My favorite in the series was Chip Kelley's first game that I don't believe the ducks made it over the 50 until the Broncos had backups in late in the third. Chip refunded traveling and tickets cost for angry fans and Legarett Blount had a temper tantrum more appropriate for a 3 year old and nearly went to the Ada County jail for criminal Assault after the game previewing his hire, fire repeat NFL career. If not for 2 unnamed players in Cincinnati and Detroit Mr Blount might be remembered as the most poorly raised player of his generation. With coaching trees and shared history the teams share a lot of DNA I'll be a duck fan for every game after Boise finishes hurting their feelings this weekend. Troy Franklin, I knew he would be a big one to miss for you guys. He beat our guys regularly. He your stretch man. Bo Nix was the big reason for your guy's ability to move the ball. In the future you guys will probably be a dominate team. But you are not dominate when you lose key guys. Brandon Dorles was the man inside in the PAC. You guys did not replace him either. Anyone who watches Rian's show knows me as I am a Husky fan. But not a total idiot. UW replaced people and got better in areas. No more Penix but we got a good enough here of a replacement in Will Roger's, but our running back room got a whole lot better with here Cam Davis and Jonah Coleman and Adam Mohammad and Sam Adams and on. Receivers are not as good, but our replacements like Denzel Boston will play in the NFL. We did not have health or depth at RB position last year. We got a guy at QB backing up Will Rogers in Demond Williams who scouts are calling the next here Kyler Murray. I do not know about that. But they are not afraid to throw Demond into games as a true freshman and let him throw or run or what. Your coaches would barely let Ty Thompson even run, last year after being with the program for years. Demond just turned 18 and they play, play him. At offensive line we have all guys who as have started for other teams, like our Center was a Portland State star, our right tackle San Diego State star; or Gaard Memmelaar got hurt early last year or he would have started, and Landen Hutchins is a Josh Connerly type. So, when they said we lost 20 out of 22 starters, it was pretty much bull crap. We really did not lose so much. Like on defense UW is probably better this year than last year's as depth wise for sure, on the line, and at Defensive End, losing Mohammad at CB was no big deal as we replaced him with two other guys who are just as good in Ephesian's Prysock, etc. I respect Oregon's program but stop listening to the bull crap media. They just use you guys, and your emotions as made against you as they make you look like fools. I do not pretend I am part of the Big Ten. I am still part of the PAC in my heart. I do not trust those losers or one thing that comes out of their mouths. Cannot stand'em.

O-line looked awful, run game was non-existent (o-line), too many penalties(o-line again), too much pressure on DG....(OLINE), DG had zero awareness and couldnt hit deep throws, Bassa was injured otherwise the Defense did great.
We are living in the NIL world now. These kids are getting paid. Its no longer time to cuddle these players or coaches. If you are going to get paid like a pro then you need to play like one. Well, I'm not panicking - but I certainly think there's reason for concern. O-lines are not easy things to "fix".
That game didn't remind me of the Georgia game. It honestly reminded me of 2021 Fresno State. A gane you felt like the Ducks should win by 20+ but came down to the wire. The vibes in the stadium were similar to that game for me.
O Line looked vulnerable. The alignment penalties absolutely have to stop.
It didn’t feel like the crowd was into it from the beginning. That wasn’t impressive. Hopefully the scare this week will fuel better play going forward. Go Ducks!
On a note, the year Oregon lost to Ohio St in the Natty... Ohio State lost to Virginia Tech in their second game and looked horrible. We can defiantly use this as a catalyst for amazing growth. Lets go Ducks

Ive been saying this for a year, that they need to run some option, or miss direction stuff. Just a handful of those plays will slow up rhe linebackers. Stiens play calling in short yardage is very predictable in short yardage and in the red zone. All idaho did was use the same deffensive plan rhat washington used last season, and they still havent figured it out, thats concerning. Adding a fullback isnt the answer to this problem.
Watching USC against LSU makes me think about how far Oregon is from being able to compete in the BIG10.
Oregon will compete in bigten but somes fans think they will come in and beat everybody even though dan lanning Oregon teams and done what? And titles or championships? They are a good team but a small QB who throws quick outs,can't see over the online sometimes AND the pass defense is not good
@@clarencewalder2985 I love Oregon but being honest, I don't see the physicality on this team that they need to compete with Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State. They are soft, the line is soft, they seem soft mentally. Even USC seems better than this Oregon team right now. I think they are going to struggle a lot more than people think. I think Oregon takes a step back this year and maybe ends up around 8-4, 7-5. This team is a long ways from being ready to compete at a high level. They definitely don't have the O line to succeed this year. The D line is further along but the O line is nowhere near what you need to compete in the BIG10. I don't even think they will be undefeated by the time they play Ohio State. They might not even be in the top 25 by the time they play Ohio State. This team has some real issues and I also think the coaching is starting to show some problems. You have way to much talent and to conservative of an offense. Why bother recruiting and paying that talent if you are not going to utilize them. Its frustrating. Oregon seems to always lack some of the air power that other teams have, even though they have talented receivers. I used to think it was a development problem but now its starting to show that its a coaching problem. Oregon coaches play it to safe. From Mario with Herbert to Dan with the receivers he has. This offense is offensive.
Show me another Big 10 team that looked as bad as Oregon this weekend? We looked like a Helfrich team.

Our coaching staff mixing and matching numerous different o line combinations has to stop if the o line is to be effective or even hopefully dominant. The lack of consistency at any one o line position showed up horribly yesterday and they need to have defined roles and reps to create the cohesion we all want to see!🤞🤞

I kind of disagree w Pickard playing well. I don’t think he picked off his assignments well and the o line issues looked like miscommunication issues which usually falls on the center. I think Poncho should go back to C and just have anyone else at guard. Cornelius was rated as a first round pick last year and he didn’t play up to his standard. I feel like they can clean it up but they gotta do it fast
It appears Oregon is not up to the level of Big Ten competition. That certainly did not look like the third ranked team in the country.
I was disappointed couple times how quiet Autzen was yesterday. And then seeing Idaho dancing to shout 🤬🦆

80% of the issues in this game were simply a direct result of the offensive line. Most everything will be solved if the offensive line plays better.
This game was MUCH closer than I originally thought.

Boise has never been picked to beat the ducks. Oregon has never beat the Broncos that I can remember and I'm 60.
My favorite in the series was Chip Kelley's first game that I don't believe the ducks made it over the 50 until the Broncos had backups in late in the third.
Chip refunded traveling and tickets cost for angry fans and Legarett Blount had a temper tantrum more appropriate for a 3 year old and nearly went to the Ada County jail for criminal Assault after the game previewing his hire, fire repeat NFL career.
If not for 2 unnamed players in Cincinnati and Detroit Mr Blount might be remembered as the most poorly raised player of his generation.
With coaching trees and shared history the teams share a lot of DNA I'll be a duck fan for every game after Boise finishes hurting their feelings this weekend.

Troy Franklin, I knew he would be a big one to miss for you guys. He beat our guys regularly. He your stretch man. Bo Nix was the big reason for your guy's ability to move the ball. In the future you guys will probably be a dominate team. But you are not dominate when you lose key guys. Brandon Dorles was the man inside in the PAC. You guys did not replace him either. Anyone who watches Rian's show knows me as I am a Husky fan. But not a total idiot. UW replaced people and got better in areas. No more Penix but we got a good enough here of a replacement in Will Roger's, but our running back room got a whole lot better with here Cam Davis and Jonah Coleman and Adam Mohammad and Sam Adams and on. Receivers are not as good, but our replacements like Denzel Boston will play in the NFL. We did not have health or depth at RB position last year. We got a guy at QB backing up Will Rogers in Demond Williams who scouts are calling the next here Kyler Murray. I do not know about that. But they are not afraid to throw Demond into games as a true freshman and let him throw or run or what. Your coaches would barely let Ty Thompson even run, last year after being with the program for years. Demond just turned 18 and they play, play him. At offensive line we have all guys who as have started for other teams, like our Center was a Portland State star, our right tackle San Diego State star; or Gaard Memmelaar got hurt early last year or he would have started, and Landen Hutchins is a Josh Connerly type. So, when they said we lost 20 out of 22 starters, it was pretty much bull crap. We really did not lose so much. Like on defense UW is probably better this year than last year's as depth wise for sure, on the line, and at Defensive End, losing Mohammad at CB was no big deal as we replaced him with two other guys who are just as good in Ephesian's Prysock, etc. I respect Oregon's program but stop listening to the bull crap media. They just use you guys, and your emotions as made against you as they make you look like fools. I do not pretend I am part of the Big Ten. I am still part of the PAC in my heart. I do not trust those losers or one thing that comes out of their mouths. Cannot stand'em.

The Ducks better get their heads right quick or they will be looking at a loss AT HOME to Boise State. Oh! Also, I realize that Gabriel had a good day passing intermediate and short passes to good receivers BUT he telegraphed ALL of his passes. Defensive Coordinators notice this and can easy scheme against it. Overall, embarrassing effort.

O-line looked awful, run game was non-existent (o-line), too many penalties(o-line again), too much pressure on DG....(OLINE), DG had zero awareness and couldnt hit deep throws, Bassa was injured otherwise the Defense did great.
I question the O line coaching. How do you field what we seen with a 21 million dollar NIL budget?
