We love the Burley coho xc trailer for the quality and innovative design but it is not for all dogs!
We have researched a lot into trailers for dogs and there does appear to be a lack of innovative and inspirational bike trailers for the active dog but rather bike trailer manufacturers are simply using a converted child's trailer design.
Not all dogs that are towed behind are either elderly or have poor mobility. Our dogs love to run free but sometimes to get them to the places we want to explore further biking is the only option. If there are any bike trailer designers out there who would like some in put into how to make a trailer for the active dogs, we would be happy to talk.

Thank you so much for sharing all the details of learning with the Burley Coho. We are thinking of acquiring it for our 13 kg Border Collie and watching your videos I think it will be a good option with some adaptations you propose. Thank you very, very much.

Really enjoyed this. Jerry, our little Bolognese, never got used to the Trixie trailer we put him in and we abandoned any plans after only one cycling holiday. It was a real shame. I have a video of him on my channel.
Regardless, single wheel trailers are far better. I am probably going to buy (or make) one for bike-packing.
By the way, don't be put off by the weight shifting and tugging on the bike. I towed my daughter on a Tag along for thousands of miles. She used to stand up and "dance" from side-to-side which was very unnerving initially but you quickly get used to it.
I miss towing. I think if I make my own trailer I'll build it big enough for a big dog (yet to be acquired) and some luggage. I'm strong enough (now) to pull it.

After some training and practice Diva is fine with the coho trailer now.
Do you have any tips on removing the rattle that seems to come from the spring suspension?
I got one to carpeting would help with claws

Did you try getting your pointer tired from a long walk before having the dog in the trailer? It could help relax her a lot. Maybe cesar milan has tips on this, he's famous in the u.s.a.
Yes but being a pointer not much tires them - she doesn’t particularly like traveling in cars/motorhomes but she puts up with it. The thrill of something new after a journey 🤷♀️
I would love to see how the dog harness it attached at the back! Is it attached at 3 points or 2? We have a trailer and the dog is ok in it but sometimes she will try and stand up and out her feet in the front! This looks like it would prevent her from doing that!
At the front and back the anchor points are on either side attached of the trailer which have adjustable straps which then join together to a swivel trigger hook that attaches to the harness so 2 points both front and back

Would you mind sharing the restraints you're using? I can only find the opposite- i.e. single fixing to two dogs!
We made our own with some webbing, lead metal trigger hooks, metal o rings and tri glide buckle so we can adjust the straps in situ to suit the dogs. You can get all from eBay or Amazon or general hardware or craft ware shops.
Have been on their waiting list for over 2 years and they do not reply to emails . Are they still in business ? As I get the impression they no longer are , thank you
Burley coho xx single wheel trailer is still available I believe and also the burley tail wagon. If it is the suspension for the tail wagon then it appears that dogycomponents are not responding to emails so we have since used kidscab

I want to buy a Coho XC for camping this July but they no longer ship the standard QR Skewer, and none are available until late summer. Would anyone sell me their standard QR Skewer if you aren't using it?
I had asked burley when they would be back in stock and initially they said June/ July - have had an email to say they are back in stock but presume that is in the states and not UK or Europe.
