Michael Beavers, the locking mechanism is solid and quick. I actually found the metal tab, which you flex to remove the can, a little stiff. I had a gunsmith grind the plate thinner. Just a nit picky preference. Not really a problem. I was not able to get it on my A2 flash hider on either of my S&W M&P-15s. The locking collar wouldn't fit in the groove. I wonder if this is a S&W thing. Obviously, they designed the can to do so. It must. But they also designed it to fit on their proprietary flash hider with
I do have a question about the M4SD II. How do you like the lock up of that can? Does it feel secure on the barrel? Do you think it is something that will wear quickly, or will it last? I have had my eye on this can for some time now and really like the idea of it being able to mount to any A2 flash hider.
Please do. I have one Griffin brake, and two A2 like brakes that i would like to rotate a single M4SD II between all three of the ARs, but want to maintain Sub-MOA accuracy.
I think it's application dependent, 1/2 MOA is a pretty regular thing for precision rifle cans in the long range community. Look at Thunder Beast Arms cans. Granted they're mostly used on precision bolt rifles. Same goes for Templar/Crux suppressors. That might be different on an AR, and different considering QD attach like these and others. But at the very least i want to retain 1 MOA.
I was referring to this application. With an AR and a quick attachment device sub-MOA is too much to ask. I agree, a precision bolt gun with a direct thread can is reasonable.

RUNnGUN556 Awesome. Thank you for the reply.

How is the accuracy of the M4SD II? That's my only concern if it will maintain the accuracy i want?
I haven't done a lot of long range shooting with it yet but it should not open up the group much. I might do an accuracy video this summer.

I don't know if sub-MOA is a realistic goal with a suppressor.
