Tempo gets a electric motor - Zoomed (cropped) video

First in-water test of Aquamot "Trends 2.2 FM" 2.2kw Fixed Pod motor with folding prop. Tempo is 18.5" and weighs 500kgs. Motor is silent, prop is audible at higher throttle settings. Batteries are Basen LiFeP04 302Ah cells. 8 cells in series. First measurements suggest 9 hours at 4kts. I'm happy.

Hi Mack, what type of electric motor have you fitted and could you please share more details? I looked on your website but couldn’t see an update yet.

Hi Nispete, The motor is a Aquamot Trend 2.2kw Fixed Pod. It came with wiring harness, controller etc. and a fixed 3 bade plastic prop and a Eliche Radice 2 blade folding 11 x 6 prop. It's quiet and powerful. I'm happy.

thank you. I built the boat from "The Sharpie Book" by Reuel B. Parker. This boat is from page 108 and there are many similar boats in this book. The book has building instructions and is invaluable.
