I like these as a gk myself as It shows just how hard and underappreciated goalkeepers really are. Also i like the slight collaboration with Conor O'Keefe I've been watching him for the last 2 years and I'd like to see some more videos together when Petia get their break

Hey Kieran, love the vids as always.
3:49 Just a tip, don’t bring your hands together to catch the ball, keep them in position and let the ball come into your hands. I noticed this often but a good time stamp to see that you are bringing your hands together to catch the ball.
You have the W position down but leave your hands there, don’t bring them together. If a show gets fired at you at 60kmh (a realistic shot power) how could you bring your hands together at the perfect time so your face doesn’t get smashed. You can’t. So get in the right position and stay there, basically absorb the power of the ball.
Let it come to your chest and wrap your hands, more control that way. (I played 9 seasons as goalie)

@@willyandtati depends on the height of the shot, at head height unless you're a kangaroo its practically impossible to absorb it with your chest that way
As a goalkeeper, heres what you need to practice on and the ones you're good at:
Practicing to not hesitate and just dive to the corner or after the ball is really handy because when you save it your morale will explode, trust me! You'll do much better then.
Along with that, try to jump higher and once you fall down land with your arm tucked under your body to minimise pain, however after doing this for a while you might hurt your arm abit with the pressure.~
Try practicing to catch it, not push it out the way. Its really hard to practice but if your in a position where you kinda have to push it, then try to push it to a defender (you did that once good job!)
The ones your good at is:
Rolling, really nice grip to the ball and wonderful throws and rolls.
The dive after the ball when its in a strikers' position is really nice, but other times you dont dive, try to dive more and curl it up with yours arms to keep a safe position.
I think this video shows, how difficult it is to be a goalie. To make the right decision in the right moment and to always know, where the goal is and where you are, is not easy and needs much experience.

I think you did well for a first game, good distribution and use of the feet (apart from the mistake that led to the goal) but that will always happen, all keepers make mistakes so you just move on.
what i always use to help my self feeling better when letting a goal in is telling myself that there are 10 other players on the pitch it has to get through before it gets to you. good stuff mate love to see it.
not when you let in an absolute howler mate - that's on you. Cope however you want to.

when i dive in goal i stand in 1 place first. if your legs are too spread out they can meg you, but if they dont and it goes in any of the corners, you will jump instead of diving and land on your legs, unless you pull yourself down. standing still with a small amount of space between your legs will also help you have a bigger boost.
Me as a keeper I have major respect for you trying it out because you now understand the difficulties.

Wonderful how you manage not to get boring or repetitive and come up with great ideas all the time. And love how you focus on goalkeeping unlike most other yt's
As someone who played goalie starting at age 5, you can tell you really prefer using your feet as being a field player. I would think the transition from field to goal would be a lot more difficult cause your natural instinct is much different and you probably do not have a full understanding of the angles to cut down the width of the goal exposed. A really great video, especially with the Pro comments/feedback.
The the reverse is also true. When you have mostly played goalie and for fun try a different position your instincts tell you use your hand and arm to knock a ball out of the air LOL.
I played gk for one game no warning just 5 min before the game started i played well i got some good saves and my adhd helped alot cuz idk why but not having my mind on that made me do better tbh but a penalty was called on "our" #2 but we didnt have a 2 and thats the reason that we lost but good game for my first time

i normally play CDM and played striker last match, bagged a goal, played monday striker again and coulnd't hit the target for shit.. it's the same in every role, i'm used to just tackling and laying it off, you did ok in nets

What I think you should work on is mainly your positioning, you're to close to the near post. If you get beaten at you near post, so be it but being further from your near post helps you cover the biggest threat, a shot to the back post. Coming from a goalkeeper, myself.
