Been listening to Bob since my commuting days during the early 2000's. The man made my evening drive bearable for many, many years. It is nice to see you still kicking it, Bob. Thank you.
bob just don't know basketball jones is correct about the raptors possible being a play in team. watch how many teams in the east tanking because of the strong draft class next year.
Bob will be proven right. I hate to support pessimism but the reality is this team is not going to win many games. There is a young core with talent but that won't win games in the short term. There may be something there over the long term but that won't help this year. No way this team contends for the playoffs. Too young to be a factor at this time. Bob speaks the hard truth.
Bob, great to see still at it, could be right as the bench the raps have is not going to score the ball... Kelly, Boucher, Ja'Kobe, Agbaji and Mitchell? We are talking, a low scoring group who won't play great D either.
It's a good team. Just watch if they build that winning culture at the beginning of the season, young guys. Quickly will be the next Lowrey and maybe even more.
This guy just shouldn't be talking about basketball (McCown) ever , he's so not plugged in. "This team is bad.....this team has no good players....blah, blah". Dude, it's called rebuilding. That's how it's done in the NBA. Rebuilding teams are supposed to suck, until or unless they hit, either on a draft pick or internally. That's where the Raptors are at. Recognize it and stop talking nonsense.
Raptors are rebuilding, setting a new path forward. An entirely new team so this year we will see what our new players can do, and trade/waive and add new players from the draft as we continue on our new path.
I think Bob is right on.. This team is not that talented but on the bright side... We will be in the Lottery.. Not a bad thing for seasons to come. Quickly Barret and Barnes won't scare anyone. Barnes will hopefully continue to get better. Jones Raps have no reason to to try to win this year.. That's facts
Bob doesn't know what he's talking about. He didn't know who Kawhi was when we traded for him. Also, no one thought Demar and Lowry were going to be as good a backcourt as they were. Raps have some good pieces but, it's all about position. Scottie NEEDS to be a 3. Grady needs to come off the bench. If raps can figure that out and make that happen, we are really close to a .500 record.
I've been watching or listening to Bob for decades, and my biggest complaint continues to be these 'the glass is always half full' guys he has been providing a platform to for as long as I've been a listener... these guys are simply mouthpieces being paid by the networks to sell Raptors basketball to Raptors fans... they're not going to jeopardize ratings by devaluing the product they're being paid handsomely to promote... they're also about as entertaining as white bread... Who can we look forward to next week? Jack Armstrong again? How about Leo Rautins? At this point, it feels like a failure on the part of Bob and his team to evolve beyond the same old...
If you have been listening to Bob for so long you would know full well that he has always been and continues to be negative about the Raptors and he also know less then nothing about basketball at any level.
@@Slo_Moses well apparently Paul Jones doesn't know much either if he thinks Pascal was a 4th or 5th option on that championship team. He was their second leading scorer in the playoffs. Sadly there is an old guard that just isn't as knowledgeable at a micro level about the sports they cover. Younger passionate generations of sports enthusiasts are changing that which is good.
@@marktheman29Thinking Pascal was the 2nd most important player on the chip team shows Bob is more knowledgeable about bball then you are. Analytics are for those who don't watch sports.
@@Slo_Moses I didn't say he was the second most important player, that was Kyle. I said he was the second leading scorer. Don't twist things to suit your narrative.
@@marktheman29 You called out Jones for saying Pascal was 4th or 5th most important piece, which he was, and cherry pick Pascal was 2nd leading scorer in playoffs while the important players were being double teamed. Enjoy your own narrative 🖕

What a trooper! A stroke might give me second thoughts about getting behind the mic. But McCown is definitely old school!

21 wins? This is depressing and the season hasn’t even started. Someone please cheer me up!
If we got 21 wins...the kind of player we could draft could be generational. Next years draft is stacked.
