Interesting detail that the Tau characters don't even really hear Eliphas. Because of the very weak presence that Tau have in the warp, Eliphas's actual words don't reach the commander's mind, he's just dimly aware of something buzzing in his ears, and assumes it's an issue with his coms.

Perfectionist Mind They join Chaos if they live. Usually, though, they're killed and burned on the spot.
Perfectionist Mind You're new to 40k, aren't you?

O'Kais: "y'all hear sumn"
I love that the only time in the entire Dawn of War series where Elpihas’ composure breaks is when he realises just what the Necrons really are
I love how well Dark Crusade showed how dreaded the Necrons are, even Eliphas has some small fear of them.
first time i see a chaos space marine feel fear from necrons
Necrons are terrifying to the point where even a 10k+ year old Chaos Lord fears them.
Their new lore kinda made them mundane in comparison. I mean they've got a lot more personality now I guess but they're not nearly as threatening/ominous.
@@Someone-hd2vu Yeah not a fan of the retcon. Oldcrons felt like unstoppable Terminators.
@@Someone-hd2vu yeah the new model/design style and lore is no where near as good. Especially the new destroyers, god those hover jets look so bulbous and ugly.
Farsight Enclaves vs. Word Bearer Legion
Entry
Eliphas: Interesting, these Tau seem better equipped to face us. Not that it will save them.
Farsight: Brothers, among these are the same forces we faced on Arthas Moloch. These talismans should protect us here as well, while we make our approach.
Prisoners
Torchstar: O'Shovah! Our bond brothers are being held in chains, at the mercy of mad sorcerers.
Farsight: An image not un-similar to the Tau Empire...We must free them, their release will make our Mont'ka all the more effective.
End
Eliphas: Gaze into the maw of the warp, Tau, and see how insignificant you truly are.
Farsight: I have done so and found foul enlightenment long ago. Among such was how quickly your forces crumble to Mont'ka. Die well, Word Bearer Inheritor.
Cool
I'm replaying Dark Crusade. It bugs me that the Necrons are affected by the blood pulse. It bugged me even more that I couldn't use the Resurrection Orb to bring back my fallen warriors. Made for a nice challenge though.
+BaronPraxis8492 Man, next time I was gonna play, I was gonna keep sending warriors and immortals into the pulse just so I could steamroll chaos.
zillafire101 It's a good plan. But I suppose it would've been too easy that way.
The funnier part is that you CAN resurrect your Necron Lord after he was slain by the blood pulse... and create an allied copy of him somehow... which ended with me making a whole army of allied Necron Lords...
@@katier9725 Eliphas's reaction to that glitch: No! That cannot be so.
Ah yes, I discovered that you can't resurrect your units that fell into the blood pulse right after I sent in every single unit in my honor guard within its range. Fortunately, that merely delayed the inevitable.
Tyranid :
Eliphas : You will never be able to use our flesh, bug !!!
Genestealer Alpha : All lifeform on this world his the prey of the Great Devourer. If you can't be consume, then we will destroy you, as any other rival, Malefactor
End :
Eliphas : Yes, send all you have Great Devourer. Send billions of skull for the Skull Throne, River of blood for the Blood God
Genestealer Alpha : The Hive-Mind will be the one who feast this day, Malefactor.
As an earlier comment pointed out, the Tau are immune to the warp and O'Kais really only heard buzzing.

Archon: So the lesser animal speaks to me asking to feed him? Well it will be most enjoyable to gouge it a little
Eliphas: You are as arrogant as always, but it only makes Slaanesh anticipate you even more
End
Eliphas: At last the lamb comes to the slaughter.
Archon: But it will be your soul which will be offered, I hope you have a good explanation for your failure to your Daemon prince.
Eliphas: But your death will satisfy Slaanesh's thirst, I will offer you personally.
Black Heart Kabal vs. Word Bearers Legion
Old One dialogue
Eliphas: Well isn’t this a surprise, I had assumed that your kind were exterminated by the creatures of the warp long ago.
Old One: Yes, and I would have assumed that one of our failed experiments would have died off before they left their own planet. Humanity was too primitive to fight alongside us in the war in heaven, and you are more primitive now to follow Chaos.
Eliphas: Very well then, my lords will be than pleased with me to slay the last survivor of your foul race.
End of dialogue
Old One: I could not be more disgraced to with this fallen galaxy.
Eliphas: The only thing that has fallen is you, vile toad!
Old one: Burn in your precious warp fire sorcerer, you can not contend with the gods that crafted the very skin on your bones.
Because Tau have such a weak Warp presence, O'Kais couldn't hear Eliphas' mind babbling, and it came off as mere noise in the comms.
I love it.
"Soulless automatons! You cannot prevail against chaos!"
**squeak** :3
Eliphas : The Blood Pulse will kill all of your infantry
*Use Rhino transport*
Carron : Look! Rhinos! RRRRRRHHHHIIIIIIINNNNNOOOSSSSS! Our enemies hide in METAL BAWKSES, DA KOWARDZ! TEH FEWLZ!! We...(asthma) We should take away their METAL BAWKSES!

I love how the Tau commander just thinks Eliphas is messing with his radio. He straight-up IGNORED chaos!
"Your subtlety astounds me ork"
"Getz outta me 'ead, I said!"
Eliphas and Gorgutz are awesome when they argue.
Tau commander is definitely trolling Eliphas.
Nope, since tau have had little contact with the warp he really can only hear a buzzing noise
The Guy Tau don't have a warp presence. Psychic powers won't work directly on them.
BaronPraxis8492 I know, but I can just imagine Eliphas' reaction.
genuine fear, coming from chaos, now that is unique
Chaos: Soulless automatons ! You cannot prevail aganist chaos!
Nekron: Lucky creatures. At long last you have found the tranquility of death.

-lord necron: ''We will, we gave our souls to our gods, and we will help you to be next.''
-Eliphas: ''It...your soul is gone. I will destroy you.''

"I've got a buzzing in my comms. Switching channels"
And
"You come to your death, alien."
"And shut down that comms chatter!"
Why was he so scared by the necrons?
+Tommonius Nids are scary to Chaos as well. They have absolutely zero interest in what Chaos has to offer or threaten them with, Chaos has no power over them, and there's the whole Shadow in the Warp.
Becose they havve power to destory chaos gods, chaos good feed on emptioans, and necrons do not have emotions+they want to extermenait all living,no emotions,no chaos.
Nids are not as half as scary to Chaos as the Necrons are. The Necrons actually have a good idea of how to completely shut off the warp from the Materium with their tech. They can end Chaos if they get their shit together.
Nikandreos Of Olympus Ah, thanks for the responses it was just a bit confusing
Tickles Ticklerton 0:39 did you not hear that no that pure night mare fuel anyone would run away from that
Eliphas: Soulless automatons! You cannot prevail against Chaos!
Necron: Magic was nothing to us, forever ago, psycher. It shall return to nothing.
Eliphas: It...Your soul is gone! I will destroy you.
Eliphas: You come to your death, Necron! I will send you to your tomb.
Necron: I've been enjoying my death for eons, moreso than you've enjoyed your gods. Come. You'll feel new freedom, in oblivion, just as you preached to your gilded brethren.
Eliphas: No... That cannot be so.
God I wish they kept this voice actor for Rising and Retribution.
No offense to Steve Blum, but he doesn't quite have that delicious condescending tone.
I wonder if Eliphas ever would have figured out all his clever telepathic taunting was lost on the Tau. I wonder if any of his subordinates would have noticed before him and were unwilling to point out they couldn't hear him and then just awkwardly laughed alongside him when was marveled at his own witty dialogue in the battle.
1:40 O'Kais total troll eliphas XD
No, he literally cannot hear him; because Tau have little to no Warp presence, a slight buzzing is all he hears.
Steve Son Guess the Necrons are either just ignoring him or the one he tried to speak too already lost its mind
***** No, the Necron are literally incapable of giving a f*ck. Or, at least that's what they were like, but thanks to their new Codex, they've been given sentience and even personalities (FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF-).
Steve Son I know i have a necron army and i just prefer to ignore the new fluff

On one hand I can totally make a Pharaoh Bender Rodriguez so its kinda funny

Sounds like a soap opera or fanfic. Eliphas/Taldeer would be kind of like Zutara, as Taldeer is canonically paired with some Vindicare.
Yes, LCB is canon. I don't care how, but it is.

No more needed to say.
Eldar: Old enemies, Eldar are painfully aware of the corruption of chaos
Orks: Pissed off at the voices in their head
Necrons: Nothing, no effect
Tau: Physically can’t hear the word of chaos
Humans: Very susceptible to chaos
Tyranids: EAT CHAOS
Orks of Armageddon vs Word Bearers.

Lol, Chaos got rekt
"Soulless Automaton!"
*two seconds later*
"Wow, your soul is gone. I would never have guessed"
Necron Lord: Matt Ward will soon rape everyone's fluff.
Eliphas: No, that cannot be so
Eliphas has such a dominating voice against all but the Necrons.
Otherwise he verbally rag dolls them.
But I still love Gorgutz in a close 2nd.
These 2 together is so fun.

Necrons: *mumble*
Chaos: "You... you cold heartless monsters, how could you say such a thing that really heart my cold dark feeling :("
Eliphas: Calls a Necron soulless
Also Eliphas: is surprised when a Necron has no soul
I’ve always loved the voice acting in DoW1, the VCs feel like actual characters from the Warhammer universe. That hesitant stutter from Eliphas when taunting the Necrons about the power of chaos has so much more weight than most voiced stuff in video games today
Check "Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus" :-)
th-cam.com/video/9gIMZ0WyY88/w-d-xo.html
The Voice Actors returned for Dawn of War 2.
Love the Necron and Tau takes.
I loved how the Tau just don't hear anything. Eliphas is trying so hard to creep them out, and what does he get? "Shut down that comm chatter"
Oh, they shut it down good, they did... A pity all those Kroot had to die.
"Soulless automatons! Wait, you actually are soulless? That wasn't just a joke?"
Eliphas: You come to your doom, alien!
T’au: Y’all hear sumth’n?
Everyone else: insults and banter
T'au Empire: "Shut the FUCK.. UP!!!!"
Interesting detail that the Tau characters don't even really hear Eliphas. Because of the very weak presence that Tau have in the warp, Eliphas's actual words don't reach the commander's mind, he's just dimly aware of something buzzing in his ears, and assumes it's an issue with his coms.
What if the covenant from Halo was in Dawn of war Dark Crusade.
Beginning.
Eliphas: Welcome, foul Xenos. You've just arrived to be sacrificed to our gods!
Arbiter: Foul Demons! What you and your ilk has done to this land shall be purified and glassed into oblivion!
Eliphas: then come, show me your weak resolve Xeno.
End.
Arbiter: The horrors of what I have witnessed has given me clarity, you humans and your demonic masters are truly beyond any redemption!
Eliphas: spare me of your talk, now come and be devoured by Chaos!
Arbiter: Nay, it is you who shall fall here today Demon.
"I've waited a long time to speak with you, Taldeer"
"Your whispers will not drive me from my present course, Eliphas"
"Oh, I certainly hope not. It is your destiny that has brought you to me."
"Yes come into my home, Taldeer"
"I've come to destroy you monster!"
"Then why do I hear fear in your ancient voice?"
lol is Eliphas trying to hit on Taldeer here?! Nice job BigDickCheney please keep making the rest!
No he is taunting her.
"You come to your death Necron! I will send you back to your tomb!"
"Look, just because my ice cream van broke down-"
"No. that cannot be so."
@U9B You can find it on youtube with the following name: Painkiller OST - Cathedral Music 1 (1080p)
Eliphas the Inheritor: "Alien, you come here to your doom!"
Shas O Kais: "I've got a buzzing in my comms, switching channels."
He says there is a Buzzing in his comm because he can't actually "hear" Eliphas's telepathic whispers, 'cause... you know... Tau. can't hear Chaos.
But if he could hear him thatis probably the best reply, ever basically saying "FUCK YOU"
I swear I can hear the necrons whispering something in thier dialogue, but it is extremely faint
The second almost sounds like " I've already been there ", which could be a nod to their reanimation?
Or is my brain just filling in the blanks? 😅
am I the only one that know where the background comes from? Berserk and WH40k in one video, such grimdark
@firelord699 The Tau register a presence in the warp. It's just so small that they are pretty much not affected by Chaos.
as awesome as chaos is, you just have to love his reaction to the necrons. they are the only ones who instilled even the slightest bit of fear. "...." "I-..Your soul is gone.. I will destroy you.."
