Don’t be too concerned, there is light, heavy, & signature moves. Ideally, you can mix these up to create different combos. Also you have flash attacks & step attacks that they haven’t gone over too much so I think we have a good variety when we consider we also have spiritual techniques 1 & 2 & the variety of characters/archetypes. Each fight will be different depending on who you’re fighting AND how they fight = aggressive, neutral, defensive tactics
@@doctorhamad2163 do you mean a stage change? It does appear from the fight we can do attacks that knock the enemy in the air or down depending on if we are talking high in the sky or “on the ground”. @@incrediblehak2833 you can’t choose them but depending on your state I believe is what triggers which kikon move. So like when Byakuya awakens and gets another kikon move, he’d go to the next stage from base. Then in sublimation mood, he’d can do 4 or 5 depending on the circumstances I mentioned in the video to deal 4 or 5. That’s my understanding from what we’ve seen. It’s not a choice but a matter of which state the character is in. I think in high tier gameplay, players will likely flex staying in base state & using weak kikon moves to end the match.
@@Sanji_Vinsmoke_69 yeah I really wanted “kill ‘em” for gin to be the last move. It would be maybe anticlimactic though if they didn’t know gin like that but I think it would be epic. I think for Byakuya I can reason it because he barely showed it to anyone along with balancing. He’d be too powerful if he had 6.
@@SaintIrving I'm sure how they're gonna use senkei as a kikon move cos that's more of a display than an actual killing move so I would've preferred it if senkei would've been a stance change from byakuya's signature move where he switches from mid range petal combat to close range sword combat with the floating swords in the background. Then we can have gokei as a kikon move That would've been epic. Gin not having korose is disappointing cos its iconic. Probably overthinking this but another thing that concerns me is that if Byakuya doesn't have Gokei then are we even gonna get Byakuya vs Zommari in story mode or will Zommari be playable at all?
No no the clash animation happens when you use a special and it's blocked. It's not a criteria to meet that causes the clash animation, it's Byakuya and Yoruichi blocking it. Look at tthe tutorial with Yoruichi, when Morita uses his special Yoruichi goes into her guard stance(her left arm is raised to block). Byakuya guard stance is similar. He raises his arm a bit, this is what activates the animation. If you don't block you get hit with a special, you don't need to be in red(go rewatch Yoruichi vs Byakuya from months ago for proof).
Also you can feint attacks... CPU Byakuya was feinting his Byakurai(lightning attack. Check @4:37-4:44)so Morita could let his guard down. When he did, he caught him... That's fire lol, not only for users but cool CPU even at lvl3 can think to do that.
@@ShelbyCrowley-b4g mm I’ve rewatched all the fights just now to reconfirm. From what we can currently see, any time a cinematic clash is done, it is AFTER a kikon move is activated. Because the conditions haven’t been met, the characters Byakuya & Yoruichi automatically block it because the kikon cannot destroy their kikon just yet. It appears to be a built in game mechanic. You can activate your kikon move & you will be guided to the enemy but it won’t land if the criteria hasn’t been fulfilled. This makes perfect sense given there are conditions to break a konpaku and this appears to be the result of trying to break their konpaku without reaching those conditions.
