I know everyone loves Leo and i can understand why I do too, but I think Russell deserves a little credit as well. Every time he plays a role he really brings the character to life, makes them believable. I admire that and I think that's a sign of a good actor.
I was new to hollywood movies when I saw this one... and really liked the movie a lot...Infact due to Titanic's popularity, I knew Leo well... but I didnt know Russel that time... even then I felt "this guy is really cool and doesnt seem to be acting, he is just living out there" about Crowe... amazing guys!!
Russell teased Leo since the last film, the "Quick Sand and the Dead" back in 1995. I admire both of them, they got extraordinary talent. But Russell is the sh*t.
@Thatguy32321...mmm...lets see, Romper Stomper, LA confidential, The Insider, A beautiful Mind, Gladiator, Master & Commander, Cinderalla Man, American Gangster...etc etc... ...he has amazing screen presence, every character is different and never the same style twice, that's why he's won an oscar, been nominated so often and is considered the best actor of his generation......and most actors would love to have the same working relationship with the legendary Sir Ridley Scott as Crowe.
@ihfppl i'm pretty it was Russel'ls long way of saying, you'd have to completely lose your mind to stand in front of thos explosions and do the stunts yourself - he just extended the phrase "lose your marbles" and got all creative with it lol
+Lubbylove89 I saw the movie on cinema. Its very impressive regarding scale, specially back then. But it is also a chick flick, quite so. It has all the cliches of the 90s in a huge production set. Example: remember the famous scene where Jack and Rose kiss right at the tip of the bow? Well its 1912, we are in the most expensive and sophisticated ship in the world and 2 kids are allowed to kiss and do stunts (Rose pretends its flying) right the tip of the bow and nobody notices. But there is more. For a movie that was looking to portrait with accuracy the events of the Titanic disaster, scenes like those are pretty ludicrous. And please dont tell me that is romantic. Is far more ludicrous than that.
Humberto Ventura get a fuckin grip will you,its romance based around the Titanic, go watch a documentary if it bothers you that much, I don't like defending that movie, but you need to get a grip, for real.
+Octavian Augustus Hourigan it does not bother, I saw the documentary regarding the making of the film. Its pretty impressive. Its just it has too many 90s cliches in a story that passes in 1912. No way in 1912 a peasant could kiss a girl from a high society class in the biggest ship of the world and nobody notices, its completely impossible. Ok, its a film. But why place 90s cliches in a story that takes place in 1912?
@starsarella Best death scene for me was from Blood Diamond, very moving. If you are going to die, going out by doing something selfless and compassionate is a pretty good way to go.
I've heard about his diva strops and hissy fits from back in the early 2000s. But what I really, absolutely admire about Russell Crowe... Is his charming ability to step back and let his co-stars take the limelight during junkets like this.
@alohastar He went to the nickeloden awards because they gave him an award for going green and all that, he went that one time to tell kids to save the Earth. He is widely considered an A+ actor. His salary per film, the amount of great scripts he gets and his work with Scorsese(the greatest living director) and Speilberg and Scott and Cameron and Nolan and many other legendary directors proves that.People who know far more about acting than you consider him great.
@Sk8terGaMer89 YES THAT ONE IS ALSO GOOD...but i forgot to mention earlier the best duo in the last 40 year...SCORSESE/DENIRO!!!.....1-RAGING BULL, 2-TAXI DRIVER, 3-GOODFELLAS,....3 masterpieces!...... MEAN STREETS and THE KING OF COMEDY...for me are their 4 and 5 best project together after thoses 3....( i put it in order of importance) then they come...6-CASINO..... CAPE FEAR, NEW YORk NEW YORK.....(this last two are his weekest, not bad, but not great eather)
Leo is a very good actor but he's not yet in the same league as Crowe. Russell has incredible presence on film and that's why he's won an Oscar and been nominated so many times.
they look related to each other like a father and his son LOL .. i think they're both great actors and they both want to lead and have control.thats y u can see they're both in some kinda competition. and they both not in an agreement
I love Russell Crowe. I think a few people considered LA Confidential to be a good movie....? They are both great actors and I like Ridley Scott movies usually. (I didn't like this movie but damn! Look how Russell just sinks into this role! I've never seen Leo do accents that well, gain and lose weight, change his appearance so markedly!)
I thought about Russell the same bt I watched Les Miserables and I've changed my mind... It's so much belowe him. Leo would never choose project like that so it makes him bigger, greater actor
@bellabana They've both been nominated for 3 Oscars. Russell won one but everybody & their momma knows Leo should've won for Aviator. Leo has been nominated for 7 Golden Globes, Russell has 5 noms. They both have one win. They're even in SAG & BAFTA noms. There isn't much difference in their resumes. I know this much: They both come from the same generation, cinema-wise, yet only one of them is constantly referred to as "The greatest actor of his generation" and it's not Russell. Just saying.
Leo is an amazing actor from Gilbert Grape with Johnny Depp to the lastest one he is such a talent. Russell is also a good actor but not in the same league. IMHO
Willie Coulter Leo is an incredible actor but don't try to dismiss Russel because of it. I mean have you honestly seen any of his movies A beautiful mind, The Insider, Gladiator, L.A. Confidential, American Gangster, Cinderella Man I mean that's just to name a few. Russell has great range as an actor. Maybe your young and more part of this generation with mainstream Hollywood however don't limit yourself. Watch some of those movies you will be amazed. Especially by Beautiful Mind I mean that movie is one of my all time favorites. He is very well respect has won numerous Screen Actor's Guild/ Golden Globe and is really well respected for his acting skills. Also Master and Commander is an riveting performance as well . Check them out!
+Willie Coulter -- Russell Crowe can play an intense scene very well. One of my favorites, he removes his helmet before the corrupt emperor, Commodus: "My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next." That alone makes him great.
Try watching gladiator, beautiful minds, american gangster, les miserables, virtuosity.... few movies which blows minds on how genius russel crowe' s acting
Leonardo Dicaprio has not won an Oscar.....he has been nominated three times and never won...Enough said as to whose better...I think the Academy knows more than we do, so why debate it...
@alohastar Well said thatguy, this kid obviously knows nothing about movies or the nuances of acting. If the likes of Day Lewis and Jack N say you are a great actor than you are, end of story. But I guess everyone has the right to their opinion. I wonder if alohastar will kill himself when Leo wins an Oscar(probably this year for his amazing performance in Shutter Island). And no Leo does feel below average next to Crowe, he seems very relaxed, it's just your imagination.
hm, I see a reluctant lol only to hide the inside anger from a girl obsessive about his look. Well, that is normal that you like him if you are a girl. Come on, men or women, we are all slaves of looks, the only difference is to what degree.
I know everyone loves Leo and i can understand why I do too, but I think Russell deserves a little credit as well. Every time he plays a role he really brings the character to life, makes them believable. I admire that and I think that's a sign of a good actor.
You kidding right because russell crowe is more than what you just write
I don't, Russ is the one I watch
Russell and Leo are both Hollywood Legends!
Russell and Leo both good actors x
Love Leo's face. Love Russell's voice.
I agree
Russell very handsome….🥰🥰🇺🇸🇺🇿
Mark Strong did a breathtaking role in this movie. He should be in between these two great actors.
I was new to hollywood movies when I saw this one... and really liked the movie a lot...Infact due to Titanic's popularity, I knew Leo well... but I didnt know Russel that time... even then I felt "this guy is really cool and doesnt seem to be acting, he is just living out there" about Crowe... amazing guys!!
i totally agree... i love russell he' s like the BEST actor ever =)
Russell teased Leo since the last film, the "Quick Sand and the Dead" back in 1995.
I admire both of them, they got extraordinary talent. But Russell is the sh*t.
I love Russell Crows interpretation of your lost all marbles.
Happy birthday russell from italian boy live in rome
two best actors on the same screen :0
best leo death scene aside from titanic was departed. both times i dint expect it to happen.
I love them both and I absolutely like your comment - pretty much says it all.
@bellabana Crow/ridley scott...and Scorsese/di caprio....two of the most succefull and talented duos among others in movies history!
When are these guys going to make another movie together.... Great great actors
But, Leo looks really young and Russell has this stern look in the beginning of it.. so I can see where someone would make such a huge leap.
one of the best actor eva had
@ihfppl i'm pretty it was Russel'ls long way of saying, you'd have to completely lose your mind to stand in front of thos explosions and do the stunts yourself - he just extended the phrase "lose your marbles" and got all creative with it lol
it took me till Blood Diamond to become a convert to the greatness of DiCaprio, but I pride myself on never having seen Titanic.
+Octavian Augustus Hourigan That's nothing to be proud of lol watch the film Titanic. It is not just a chick flick, it's a cinematic masterpiece.
+Lubbylove89 I saw the movie on cinema. Its very impressive regarding scale, specially back then. But it is also a chick flick, quite so. It has all the cliches of the 90s in a huge production set. Humberto Ventura maybe because the film was made in the 90s,you ever think of that no?
A good duo !
@Peterplayingguitar, yup he's an awesome actor. I had no idea he was British. He played the middle eastern guy so well!
@starsarella Best death scene for me was from Blood Diamond, very moving. If you are going to die, going out by doing something selfless and compassionate is a pretty good way to go.
2:48 OMG Leo is too cute !!!!
your the best leo im the number one of your fun & im so very proud to you
I've heard about his diva strops and hissy fits from back in the early 2000s. But what I really, absolutely admire about Russell Crowe...
Is his charming ability to step back and let his co-stars take the limelight during junkets like this.
... why have I never heard of this movie? LEO'S IN THIS MOVIE!
(I'm slightly obsessed)
Not the best movie I've seen with Leo, but he still gives a great performance!
What the hell is he talking about, haha, that's awesome. Two of the best actors alive.
@Sk8terGaMer89 YES THAT ONE IS ALSO GOOD...but i forgot to mention earlier the best duo in the last 40 year...SCORSESE/DENIRO!!!.....1-RAGING BULL, 2-TAXI DRIVER, 3-GOODFELLAS,....3 masterpieces!...... woooooow Leo you - are amazing ! i Love u
good freaking movie. ever see crowe on actors studio? painful is
an understatement. he had spit out his last marble.
the quick and the dead was pretty shocking too, i guess the only leo movie death scene that no one should have been shocked at was romeo and juliet.
WHEN IS this felmm out? great picture itg will be, i think
Leo is soo cute(:
People stop hating you dont like what he does dont watch any of his work!
leooooooooooooo your the best...
I love his smile:D :D he's so cool & sexy
LEOOOOOO forever
@meadowwalk I totally agree. It's kinda sad though how Leo gets all the attention just because he's younger.
Leo is a very good actor but he's not yet in the same league as Crowe. Russell has incredible presence on film and that's why he's won an Oscar and been nominated so many times.
Crowe nominated for Oscar 3 year in a row and she hv won them all
He is beautiful.
can someone explain to me the marble joke ?? i didn't get
that marbles joke is stupidly funny..lol
Russel is better actor. one day Leo will become like him
they look related to each other like a father and his son LOL .. i think they're both great actors and they both want to lead and have control.thats y u can see they're both in some kinda competition. and they both not in an agreement
amazing movie, leo is a genius
The Quick and The Dead. Sharon Stone was in it, too.
Body of Lies a Mark Strong movie. Not DiCaprio and Crowe.
I love Russell Crowe. I think a few people considered LA Confidential to be a good movie....? They are both great actors and I like Ridley Scott movies usually. (I didn't like this movie but damn! Look how Russell just sinks into this role! I've never seen Leo do accents that well, gain and lose weight, change his appearance so markedly!)
russell crowe rules
I thought about Russell the same bt I watched Les Miserables and I've changed my mind... It's so much belowe him. Leo would never choose project like that so it makes him bigger, greater actor
@Shlumpledink But he doesnt die in Body of Lies
I'll admit I used that marble analogy 😂
What it is I didn't get it?
I'm using your spelling by the way....It's Russell with double 'l'.....
0:00 - 0:26 Russell Crowe looks like he wants to punch the interviewer!
It's very hard to decide who the best Leo or Russell
I love my leito
leo is so cute
I can feel my hormones beginning to surge.

@@oullahtakanebghikawilihbib9305 oh shut up! Woman can be thirsty too.
@@linajurgensen4698extremely thirsty
I'm number one Russell fan, but Leo definitely outshined him in that film.
@2:42 LOL

Leo: mhmy. Aha. Mhmy... Mhmhy... What the hell is he talking about? xD
Russell is great.! :D
i luv it when he says "what the hell is he talking about?"
I was just telling someone about this, he dies all the time in his movies, its like his thing
Russell Crowe out shines Leo, Leo is still a little dog playing , he just a tag along
Lies all lies
@ktbeatles It wasn't a fake laugh or a douchebag comment, it's called taking a joke..having a sense of humor
@14physician Would you like some ice with that BURN
My favorite actors.. I should start a fight, not talk about their movie..

@bellabana They've both been nominated for 3 Oscars. Russell won one but everybody & their momma knows Leo should've won for Aviator. Leo has been nominated for 7 Golden Globes, Russell has 5 noms. @pavilionvhp The Quick and The Dead
Leo is an amazing actor from Gilbert Grape with Johnny Depp to the lastest one he is such a talent. Russell is also a good actor but not in the same league. IMHO
Gladiator, the insider, and a beautiful mind. All riveting performances by Crowe which is in par with Leo's work
Willie Coulter Leo is an incredible actor but don't try to dismiss Russel because of it. I mean have you honestly seen any of his movies A beautiful mind, The Insider, Gladiator, L.A. leo is a grown baby
Russell is a better actor than Leo?! LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
lol. well that explains it
Leonardo Dicaprio has not won an Oscar.....he has been nominated three times and never won...Enough said as to whose better...I think the Academy knows more than we do, so why debate it...
The academy is rigged.. Undeserving people have won countless times
why
@alohastar Well said thatguy, this kid obviously knows nothing about movies or the nuances of acting. If the likes of Day Lewis and Jack N say you are a great actor than you are, end of story. Exept in The Island, but barely....
Two very hot men...gotta go with Russell though!
They're only 10 years apart. That's hardly "father and son".
238 stolen from Urban Cowboy!!
@nickthelover1
Leonardo DiCaprio is more feminine than David Beckham.
leo thinks crowe is a pain in the butt
hm, I see a reluctant lol only to hide the inside anger from a girl obsessive about his look. Well, that is normal that you like him if you are a girl. Come on, men or women, we are all slaves of looks, the only difference is to what degree.
