i see you made this before the Nozomi patch was released. they actually patched Nozomi so that if she goes against an elemental user, her tarot cards automatically adapt to the element strong against them making her a very vital counter to Setsuna. she also adapts to benefit from Honoka’s Weather songs too, and supposedly if she has ice powers she can freeze the ground and prevent Kanan’s Dives, though i have not tested this myself. Also the bigger the *ahem* size of the character the stronger her grapple is
The most important change is by far the scaling damage based on character "size" which has really helped some "smaller" characters become more viable. Rina was already a "small" girl so this will only cement her place in top tier now that Kanan and Setsuna have been indirectly nerfed with the elemental changes. 🤔
You know, the moment i heard fighting game based on Love Live, it's already sounded weird and impossible like there's something up. I mean games about idols like Love Live can't be turned into a fighting game but collabs with fantasy or music themed rpg game still sounded more plausible.
Never before have I wanted an April fools joke to not be a joke so bad :( Cries in no LLSIMP. Absolutely hilarious video, was cracking up in most of it XD You actually had me for a few seconds till I realised it was a joke lol
I think Dia certainly deserves a higher spot, she’s got both defence and attack prowess. Once you’ve got the deflect mechanic down, she’s a great member with any team. I’d match her up with Eli and Shioriko, if Eli freezes your opponent, Shioriko can build up her revive points and Dia can both deal damage and defend.
Okay, since I'm extra as hell, I imagined if LL: SIMP was real and made my dream team based off of what you've said: Kanan-You-Shizuku. HEAR ME OUT: Kanan: Kanan seems to be widely regarded as the best fighter in the game, even being considered the the gold standard for the best character in popular phrases such as "A skilled Emma can beat any Kanan.". I can't imagine many teams in the game going without a Kanan. Part of the reason I would have a Kanan is because I don't want to fall behind if everyone else has a Kanan. But it's more than that. Her diving mechanic can really turn a game around if you know how to use it well enough, and she's super OP. A no-brainer for my starting team, as she can use diving to stall before either tagging out or going in for the big K.O... Now you might be wondering, why have an entire Kanan if you can go against a Kanan with your Shizuku? And the answer to that is, it's important to be able to get in a few crit's as Kanan while your opponent has a more flashy but less critical idol in the ring. But the main reason why having a Kanan is SO CRITICAL is simple. . . *Kanan has no weaknesses.* Whereas Setsuna is weak to Water, Rina's sheer complexity and difficulty to navigate and switch through is a weakness, and Shioriko doesn't have much power herself other than her many lives, Kanan has nothing to pull her back. She is the epitome of LL: SIMP. She is the best character in the game. You: Now, I spent a while thinking of popular combos that would be pretty mainstream if LL: SIMP were real (depressing, right? lol.). I thought that a popular gimmicky-but-less-mainstream combo would be Kanan-Setsuna-Kanata. As Kanan and Setsuna are so OP, they'd be the most likely to survive until the final 30 seconds to bring Kanata out. This would also be the most popular Kanata group by far. But you might be wondering, how does this tie into You? Well, You would be able to crush Setsuna, being a good Kanan player I could take the other Kanan out, and Kanata... well, she can't be used. This means that with the team I've acquired, I would basically never have to worry about a Kanata win. But this, of course, isn't the only reason I would want You on my team. I feel that other than Kanan, Setsuna would be the most common fighter used by players of LL: SIMP. Whenever she would be released, I would release You; Setsuna's one weakness. I would never have to worry about Setsuna OR Setsuna Scarlet Storm, which other than Kanan's Dive might be the most critical move in the game. Like Kanan's Dive, You would also be immune to burning. This means the combined power of Kanan and You could take out even the best Setsuna, which is very relieving, given how often Setsuna would be used. It's not just Setsuna, however. The combination of diving Kanan and water-powered You is so extremely OP that B and C tier would never have a shot, A tier would put up a fight but go eventually, and even Rina and Shioriko would both individually crumble. *Edit: I forgot to mention why I'm not worried about Eli's triangular advantage to You. Well, it's like Umidah said. Since Eli is so weak to Setsuna, and Setsuna is the second-most used character in the game, Eli would be a very, very rare pick. It'd be incredibly unlikely for me to come after an Eli, and even if I did (1 in 10,000 chance there), Kanan would be able to take her out fine anyways. Eli's section also highlights the fact that no other character can grab or disadvantage her, which makes You much more OP than she comes off as at first. Not only do I stand by having You on my team, I feel better about it than ever before, knowing the only character who puts up any kind of fight against her strength is never used.* Shizuku: *What? Why her? She's only support, she shouldn't actually be used in an OP team...* Shut up, bold text. Shizuku might seem gimmicky, but she's the heart of the team I've put together. NOT KANAN. Shizuku. She's our secret weapon. Shizuku can have unlimited lives if she shifts to Shioriko (also giving you a free DLC). Shizuku can be Fallen Angel Yohane with full health if Kanan takes away half of Yoshiko's health before tagging out to let Shizuku take the wheel (which might just be the most OP thing one can do). Shizuku can fully stain Maki, then tag out to Kanan for the big KO. Shizuku can imitate Rina's boards, and Emma's sidekick Neve, which are both very complex. Shizuku can drop candy like Ruby to heal her own team. But in my opinion, the most crazy thing Shizuku would be able to do is imitate Kanata (or any alt-win, for that matter) if the opportunity were to arise. This is literally nuts, making Shizuku an alt-win in her own right. You argued thar Shizuku was just a supporting character, but I think she's A Tier. Maybe even S Tier. One thing's for sure, though. Shizuku is a criminally underrated character that could be the difference between a "not bad" team and a "literally unbeatable" team if you play her right. Other characters I would use if you could have more than just 3 characters on your team: *Emma:* Puppet characters and alt-wins have always captivated me, and Emma is the former of the two. Having a character who can mimic both in-your-face and slow, powerful play styles, who also doesn't have to switch between these things manually (like with Ayumu) is very appealing to me. She would definitely be on my team if it weren't for the top 3 being so powerful. *Honoka:* Now, I said puppet characters and alt-wins were my 2 favorites, and that Emma was the former. Well, here's the latter. The most successful alt-win, you said it yourself. I would switch to maps such as Shangri-La shower for the You advantage first, in the event I have to take down a powerful Setsuna I would save SUNNY DAYS for last (also poetic, because SUNNY DAYS and Bokutashi were the 2 most important songs from the movie, and playing in succession would be nice). My favorite alt-win, and I LOVE alt-wins. *Dia:* There might be a LITTLE bit of bias here, because I'm a sucker for Dia's sheer aesthetic, but the reflection of Dia's katana being able to give her immunity from any zoning-type character is GREAT for any team. In a pinch, she'd be very helpful against characters like Maki. However, the thing keeping her off the team is simply that she doesn't gel well with the dream team. Shizuku's copycat zoning ways and Kanan's untargetibility underwater combined can make up for the lack of having a Dia on the team. Additional Comments: *How cool would it be to see a 1v1 between Maki and Chika? Like, for real, Maki trying to hit Chika with tomatoes while Chika tries to hit Maki with Mikans?! And if Chika hits 100, she would win the game, and if Maki fully stained Chika she could go in for the K.O! And plus, it's said that Maki dislikes Mikans! That would fit so well. I expect to see it in the anime.* *...This isn't related to anything at all, I was just thinking about it.* This is why I believe Kanan-You-Shizuku is the best combo in the game. Feel free to disagree with your own dream team if you'd like.
Just imagine how interesting, & unique, this fighting game could be if, you have to do certain rhythm based attacks based off their music to do a finishing move on your opponent.
You spent so much time planning out these game mechanics! You know, if you ever need a game developing team to actually make this a reality someday... I know some people😅👉👈
this is legit so fucking genius like everything about this is so well made and well thought out i would have probably fallen for it if i didn't immediately check the upload date omg ...... i applaud you
The thought u put into this is honestly so great, I would 100% buy this game. I'd definitely chance bringing kanata in with me every time, and ofc would main Rin
And, here's something to note about Setsuna. Occasionally, her fire-based attacks can leave a burn effect on her opponent for up to *seven seconds.* (This references her other personality, Nana Nakagawa, as well as the fact that the name is a pun on 'nana' which is Japanese for the number seven.)
So, regarding Honoka's win condition, the 4 different songs that she can sing will only play the first two lines of the first chorus (except for Bokutachi wa hitotsu) While Honoka is singing, she will tilt her head left and right while orange music notes appear in the air beside her, then they will disappear after the song ends. When she sings Bokutachi wa hitotsu, however, her outfit will turn into a dress similar to the one seen in the MV and instead of crying, she'll breath a sigh of relief at the end and say "Yatta ne!" or if using the English voice she'll say "I've done it!" Here are the lines for each individual song: Sunny day song: Sunny day song, Sunny day song, takaku tobi agare Wonderful Rush: Korekara no Wonderful Rush minna shiawase ni naru tame Snow Halation: Todokete Setsuna sa ni wa, namae wo tsukeyou ka Snow Halation Shangri La Shower: Festival owaranai Kiseki wa festival watashitachi no yume (And the fifth one speaks for itself.)
One more thing about Dia. She will often create an X pattern with her basic combination of katana slashes, to reference her 'BUU BUU DESU WA' catchphrase. If the attack button is pressed after blocking or if Dia's counterattack is set up and she receives an attack, Dia will call out 'OKTOWARISHMASU WA!' (If the voice language is set to English, she will say 'I refuse to fall!') and will quickly counter with a strong diagonal katana slash, taking away up to half of the enemy's total health. This can be combined with Dia's medium-level attacks, making her a strong pick to counter any characters that have zoning movesets.
This is a good tier list and all, but have you heard the new leak for LL!SIMP!!? My friend-a very prominent dataminer in the community-told me there would be an Alpaca Pack DLC, where we'll not only have Alpaca Blanco and Alpaca Marrón, but a NEW character called "Alpaca Oro" in the files. He's supposed to be a guest character or something.
Funny story: I was looking for a statement from some of the developers behind Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax and how they want to include some characters from Love Live if they ever make a sequel (my money's on Nozomi and Rina) and suddenly, I see this video which I'm assuming is an April Fool's joke. I've gotta watch this through.
I hope the Love Live! characters appear in anime crossover fighting series. So I can team up with them. 🤣🤣🤣 I also hope they use Z Riser like me use Z Riser too. XD
I think you completely overlooked a rework they made to Hanayo, and she is now a God tier support, or a somewhat viable counter to close combat based girls. She now controls both herself and her alpaca. The Alpaca has a desperate health bar, and now deals most of the damage fin the Hanayo kit, with stomp and charge abilities. Hanayo or her teammates can ride the alpaca providing significant transport speed and all damage goes to the Alpaca before the girl riding it, although the time on the alpaca is only a few seconds at a time. Hanayo can also give rice to the Alpaca.
Wow from singing to punching each other. Super Smash Sisters are coming lol but I really wonder what cause the girls to want to punch each other? Conflict maybe?
Neat ideas. However I don't really understand what you mean when you say stuff like "high skill ceiling" "complexity to use" or like how you described Kanan's dive mechanic, you don't really specify what setups it grants Kanan, you only describe the basics. "she can dive to escape a combo, dive to get behind the opponent, or just dive to stall." You summed it up pretty well, and I can see how the move would work in my head, but it sounds like an amateur who plays the game casually, rather than someone dedicated enough to study the frames, advantages and disadvantages of each character, which may or may not include a matchup chart. Again, great ideas, but I would like to see you go more in-depth about the meta, or just basic gameplay. Like combos? Dial up combos? One button combos? Mashing? Is it more like Mortal Kombat, or a 3D fighting game like Dragon Ball Z Budokai? Like this is an awesome idea. But I need to know more than what's being said. I think about stuff like this all the time, so I just go mad when I wonder and can't know.
I expected Mari's moveset to involve tons of Money. Regardless, from my experience I find Mari a good pick to annoy other players and make them lose their nerve, not an effective strategy but it's funny.
Anyone who was fooled was unfooled the moment you said "A-RISE"
And the fact that Tsuki, Haruka, and future Honoka are included
Kanan is KLab's favorite *of course*
Can someone explain this?

She now controls both herself and her alpaca. The Alpaca has a desperate health bar, and now deals most of the damage fin the Hanayo kit, with stomp and charge abilities. Hanayo or her teammates can ride the alpaca providing significant transport speed and all damage goes to the Alpaca before the girl riding it, although the time on the alpaca is only a few seconds at a time. Hanayo can also give rice to the Alpaca.
0:16 is kiryu vs kuze reference from yakuza 0
hate it when i’m playing chika and get to 98 mikans and then setsuna scarlet storms me 😒
Maybe you could switch her out with Rin at the last moment and have her withstand Setsuna's attack.
I'll just wait for the Mia/Lanzhu dlc release 😌
Ofcourse even if its a prank Kanan is still op... damm O_O
Using Rina with Ruby in a duo match would be incredible
Wow from singing to punching each other. Super Smash Sisters are coming lol but I really wonder what cause the girls to want to punch each other? Conflict maybe?
imagine this becoming an actual real thing
Well I guess canonically Kanata is surprising fit n durable
no but this sounds super fun and someone needs to make it a reality
the SIMP acronymn gave it away.. april fools y'all
gotta hand it down, so much effort that i wish it was really real
S - School
I - Idol
M - Melee
P - Party
Neat ideas.
However I don't really understand what you mean when you say stuff like
"high skill ceiling"
"complexity to use"
or like how you described Kanan's dive mechanic, you don't really specify what setups it grants Kanan, you only describe the basics.
"she can dive to escape a combo, dive to get behind the opponent, or just dive to stall."
You summed it up pretty well, and I can see how the move would work in my head, but it sounds like an amateur who plays the game casually, rather than someone dedicated enough to study the frames, advantages and disadvantages of each character, which may or may not include a matchup chart.
You have to do 100 Quarter circle forwards to win as Chika. That can't be good for the hands.
I expected Mari's moveset to involve tons of Money. Regardless, from my experience I find Mari a good pick to annoy other players and make them lose their nerve, not an effective strategy but it's funny.
I'll main yoshiko, the gimmick characters are very fun imo
