E-Commerce Retailer Doubles Warehouse Capacity with Robotic Goods to Person System

A Missouri-based specialty apparel company was quickly growing and in need of a new facility or expansion. Bastian Solutions partnered with the e-commerce retailer to find a solution that would maximize the company's current space, while optimizing labor and order fulfillment. The final solution included a cube-based storage system, called AutoStore, which utilizes robots to retrieve and deliver goods to operators. The new system enabled the retailer to double facility capacity, improve picking accuracy, and provide a more ergonomic environment for its employees.

how does it get replenish

The AutoStore is replenished using a similar process as picking but reversed. Totes are filled at operator stations, and the robots deliver the filled totes back into the system.

It's a change to any current large distribution centers but the manpower is still the same.

Probably a person that works in a warehouse. Coles for example, the distribution centre in NSW told their employees get ready to lose your job within the next 4 years.. The robots are coming

@@takitezy7 Honestly you shouldnt want to work as an orderpicker anyway. Robots should replace it completely. Do something that you have passion for, this isnt it!
