the way you explain how you build it and how it plays is excellent. very nice. My Church has a pipe organ it was built in the 1800s it hasn't been played in decades
Some time next week I'm trashing a slightly larger and much older version of the organ seen in the video. The second organ this year, too. The one I'm taking out next week is about 130 years old and is an original installation in a rural Church that closed it's doors for good 6 months ago. Almost all the interior action is wood and about 2/3's the pipes, metal. The number of small and large pipe organs destroyed each year for lack of a good home would shock most who are watching this, I think.

That is great! The pipe organ is the most ingenious of all instruments!
Just amazing. Beautiful work!!
Thanks so much for sharing.
I have a similar size organ. What manufacturer blower did you use? The blower I have is noisy and had to run a wind line from my basement. Thanks!!
@keyboardjeff The bottom octave is borrowed from the Bourdon 8'
Excellent
@777MMT The low C of the pedal plays at 32 hz.
if the biggest pipe is 8ft tall, how is it tuned to 16ft?
An 8ft stopped pipe will produce the same pitch as a 16ft open pipe.
ohhhhhh, that's cool. thanks :)
It has a stopper
Because the pipe has a stopper at the top so it will produce a 16 foot open pipe sound but because it is stopped, it is half the length 8 foot long.
epic
@AMorgelwerke I didn't keep track of my expenses.
AGO specifications, if you do anything but the specifications will they come to your house and destroy your organ lol
Too bad you can't get the organs that are being trashed!
this is depressingly complicated. Depressing, because i know i can never build something of this quality.
