Why is it baffling? Hope reinforcement stickers have been around for a long time. These just dispense and stamp them on for you so you get a better alignment.

Frixtion pens are all I buy tbh. The fact that they are erasable is incredible, and they actually come in more colors than the standard blue, black and red. They have a myriad of colors for their gel pen line, and, as a visual person and an artist, they are perfect. I highly recommend them.
Until heat meets your paperwork...Then you are screwed
Just have to be careful as the ink will disappear or become patchy if the paper gets exposed to cold temperatures.

the pilot frixion multi pen was the absolute best thing I purchased (but had to stop purchasing because the refills were so pricey)
Do note the erasable ink of the Frixxon pens also disappear when heat is applied. You can try using a hair dryer to blow on some scribbles made with it.
This is why schools here do not allow that pen for exams/ tests/ homework. There were incidents where the ink faded because the test papers were near sources of heat (eg photocopying machine)
I learned the hard way. I left my notebook in the car on a hot summer day. Notes gone. 😢

Everyone is aware that eraseable pens ink "disapears" due to heat and when it's in cold environment it'll appear again, right?
Needless to say eraseable pens are banned in most exams due to exactly this reason. If someone leaves exam papers on sun for too long your answers will disapear and you basically handed in empty paper.
Should be stated the temp is 40F/4C for the pens ink returning due to cold. So unless you leave your notebook in your car (while living in a cold climate) or stick it in a fridge, it wont come back
My notes disappeared while I was studying for an exam, never used them again..😅
Happened to one of my former colleague’s student. The exam papers were left in his car under the sun a bit too long and one of the student’s answers disappeared coz the student used Frixion pen 😅

Same as in Brazil, i was like (???) we had that back in the day
I used "Pilot" and "Paper Mate". The first one has a similar eraser as the one in the video, the second was more similar to a pencil eraser. The ink of these pens are much duller though and they tend to fade after a long time. :) @harumphsezmoi9781

In the70s my clicky pen had 4 colors. We also had hole punchers, erasable ink, etc. These are not new.

Erasing pens are bad in school bc by erasing the mistake you are led to think you never made a mistake. Mistakes and the trace they leave are important in memory and learning.

Those pens...the ink fades after a while. I remember having to write over so much notes.
The ink from an erasing pen gets removed by heat, if you leave your notes in a warm spot they'll be gone...
By the looks of the comments, these have all been world wide for decades. We’ve had all of these here in Ireland since I was in primary school 20 years ago

Don't forget that the erasing pens aren't suitable for taking exams because they fade away under certain conditions/temperature/friction of paper.

Only thing with the frixion pen is if you live in a hot climate or leave your notebooks in a hot car YOU LOSE ALL YOUR NOTES BECAUSE FRICTION CREATES HEAT
I heard a friend of mine said that the erasable pen gets erased when used with printer too. Not sure if she uses the same brand. So I have decided to buy one of the Pilot pen to test it, it is still otw. I bought it from other online shop. We’ll see. But I hope it is untrue since I want to have a clean workbook. Planning to buy a red pen if the rumors is untrue.

We call friction pens as magic pens and used them in attendance sheet. We would write absent and later change it to present after getting professor's sign. Well we got caught and had to write an apology letter, also got a warning to never do it again or else everyone will be marked absent for whole semester. 😐

The friction pen is the worst if you live in a sunny hot environment. Leave your pen or notebook in a hot Sunny car and the ink disappears or becomes faded. My pen no longer worked from the heat

The Pilot Frixon pens also fade with time. I looked at my notes about 15 months later and the ink had become so faint, it was almost impossible to read.

Don't buy these. I gave away my punch stamp case and all the tapes inside because the tapes are exaggeratedly expensive and you don't need them that often, but they do occupy a big area in your pencil case/ holder. Frixion is okay but correction tape or pencils are more practical. The eraser is completely unnecessary, you obviously can't see the word through that, and even if you can, your hand is going to mess it up anyways.
