The Mayflower

The name "The Mayflower" sticks in my memory since the days I went to college in east Devon in the early sixties, and school holidays began and ended with a train trip from/to Exeter or Taunton to/from Paddington. The up train was invariably "The Mayflower", and usually hauled by a Warship.
