Just watched the video. The Clubhouse building, changing rooms, remains from the old Meadow Park. The pitch level used to be at the bottom of that building. Then after floods, pitch level was raised up to around the first floor of the building. If you looked behind the far end terraced stand, you can see the old T - End terraced stand. I believe the steps of the stand have to remain, as it acts as a retaining wall. The old Meadow Park had a pre season friendly with Arsenal in the 1980's. George Graham brought the First Team. In the 1990's, Everton brought their First Team, for a friendly. We reached the FA Trophy Semi Final in 1997, two legged affair. Played Dagenham and Redbridge, 2nd leg, Meadow Park had a crowd of 4000. (Missed out on a trip to Wembley, as we got beat in a Replay). That same season, we lost out on Promotion, to Rivals Cheltenham Town. They finished 2nd, us 3rd. They were Promoted to the Vauxhall Conference, as 1st place team, Gresley Rovers ground did not meet the Ground Grading Criteria.
Interesting video as a City season ticket holder and fan since coming home! Noticed it was dated 5 months ago - so we did go down (lots of crazy stuff happened last season in the background not mentioned - a video in itself) hopefully straight back up! Food hut was ran down and moved across the stadium lot more than just a burger available. I’m guessing it was opened for a kids/women’s game with minimal menu. The ground was raised up to stop flooding the old end is behind the other end is still there! How about come down on a match day?
top darts these are the ones i love best non league mate have they changed there club badge as that is completly different to the onre i have mine looks like a tigers face on it on a black and gold back ground keep up the great work thanks again steve
@@RysFootyParadise but as i said mate why have they changed it i much preferred the old one did you get my e mail address i sent you regarding the portsmouth badge
Been watching the Tigers for last 3 seasons, really like the quirkiness of the ground. As has been said previously, if you'd looked behind the New T End you'd have seen the old T End terrace and how far up the ground has been raised. Enjoyed watching the video 👍👍👍
I prefer the days of the yellow and black tigers era. Always remember 1997 when Cheltenham finished above Gloucester to get promoted to the conference. My mates dad got arrested on the final day along with others for fighting away fans after losing when a win was needed. There was a police helicopter and dogs brought in to control the violence which temporarily stopped the match.
You should check out the abandoned Newlands rugby staduim in Cape Town the staduim is over 100 years old and its left to rot the venue used to host a few football matches to. The downfall of the staduim is quite sad and I think it can be a amazing video. The staduim is quite big it is bigger than quite a few Premier League staduims
The cleanliness and functionality of the layout is very impressive until you hit the away dressing room. Watching this video I wondered what Archibald Leitch would have created with modular building and repurposed containers. I'm not taking the p--s.
After so long away, this ground was very much about getting back to the city. I'm sure everyone accepts that it's a bit crap, but at least they are back home (or about 3 metres on top on their old home, to be exact). For old and a bit quirky I'd suggest Altrincham, Bath, Chorley, Hastings, Hereford, Merthyr, and Prescott Cables.
@@RysFootyParadise That is also sadly ture and they are building their new ground as close as they can to gloucester to without making it look like they are switching places to feed off these glory hunters a bit more

Top video and Top man - interesting and entertaining 👏👏👏👏
Glad you enjoyed it 🍻
Went there with Hereford on Boxing day, was a class away day with a last minute winner so definitely fond memories of this place.
Gutted I missed that game (was playing “good boyfriend” at Xmas 😅)
Can you make a video on aldershot town at the EBB stadiam pls…
I would appreciate it if you could but no pressure👍

Lovely stadium & badge isn’t it mate 👌🏾

Visited here last season to watch Gloucester v Kidderminster Harriers
Great video 👊
Thank you mate 🍻

The old man is a season ticket at Hereford but the rivalry isn’t as fierce is it?

You’ll love the National Football Museum video I filmed yesterday - it’s got an Archie Leach section in the museum 🤩
@@RysFootyParadise Wonderful. I'll watch out for that.
Great stuff😊
you missed the most revealing bit; behind the far goal the old T-End terrace is still in place about 12ft below the current pitch level.
Oh wow I did miss something good there, sure we’ll be back for a game 😊
I think they also shared with Cirencester
They did, well remembered 👍🏾
If I’m honest I prefer looking at old shitty stadiums rather than polished turd new stadiums. Keep up the good work mate.
Me too 😅 now the premier league ones are out the way, we can get a little bit more creative and adventurous

My team surprisingly good facilities love our ground
Would love to see Ry head up to Scotland and explore Rangers and Celtic
Hopefully in the summer I’ll head up that way 🤩
So, when's the Cheltenham stadium tour?
nice tidy little stadium
Nice isn’t it
you'd think a city the size of Gloucester could support a football league team. or is rugby that dominant there?
Rugby averages 13000 attendances so it is hard to compete
A lot of lads I know from Gloucester follow Forest Green 😬

Where can I get that version of Hulk Hogan real American. Sounds better than the original
Downloaded a cover version but then did a bit of mixing myself to get around copyright 😅
That fucking flood cost me repairs to my car that cost £1300 and the insurance claimed was 'act of god'.
😅 not good…
Well, let me tell you something brother...
❤️💛❤️💛❤️💛
Ever thought of speaking British English instead of American English?
Have you heard my accent… 😁
