Rolls Royce Are Awesome in Person
Saw it on a car show last year, not really good. curves and lines lack of subtlety and detail, the whole car looks just big and silly, painting and wheel finish is rough(it's true, I want jump in and polish it's wheels with my hand). But the blue on silver scheme in this video really stands out.

Just picked up my phantom extended wheelbase today and got back from a late night drive excellent video, I like the exterior of the car however not so much the interior though.

yes I do it is black inside and out there's no two-tone paint job on mine either and I do mean that everything is black there's no other color's on the car inside or on the outside except for black. Also my mom has a Rolls-Royce ghost Extended-wheelbase so if my phantom brakes down I can always drive her Rolls-Royce ghost. Plus my dad drives a heavily customized $298,015 Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Executive just trying to give you an idea of what my life is like in regards to car's.

Good question so at the moment I actually live off of return on investment's and passive income and collectively make $4,500,000 a year. It's worth noting I don't yet have a job but am looking for one in my area and that is because I'm 21 years old I started to invest at age 18 and I am where I am today because of my upper class parents who helped me to get where I am today my parent's are in the top 5% of earners in the US each making roughly $400,000 a year. so I kind of had a quite head start. Also I can't legally drive so I hired several driver's to solve that problem.

That aqua coloured glass Rolls-Royce put in the door handles and interior lights really does look out of place in some colour configurations.

It still has room for improvements. For instance, I saw in a video on the Maybach GLS 600 where the cupholders have coolers and heater with blue and red lights, respectively. The ones in the Rolls-rolls look so cheap. They are literally cupholders, and this is it. Some buttons and other stuff are plastic. They could be made of carbon fibers, or metal. The front console could have a cooler and glasses for champagne, for instance. The umbrellas still sticking out a bit is not so aesthetic. Alsi, no umbrellas in the front doors. That was disappointing too. An infotainement screen could be added for the front passenger. Still no auto-driving system or collision avoidance system. Tesla has them. Also, is there a warning system against traffic radars? I guess not. The little refractive sidelights could be better, instead of being made of cheap plastic. Also, the tail lights could be made of crystals. I know the head lights cannot be made of crystal for the US market because it's against federal regulations.
I own a Phantom and a the GLS that you mentioned (one for family and the other for personal use). While I agree with most of what you said, you have to understand the purpose of the Rolls Royce. You are being too nit picky. The Rolls Royce is a very simplistic car. It does not need colored lights in their cupholders. You point out a lot of things by saying they "look" cheap but I sure you every single thing made from the rolls was hand crafted. It took me 7 months for me to receive my Phantom because every Rolls Royce is custom designed by the owner. I felt I was apart of the team creating this car. While the new Maybach can be bought on a sales floor like just another Mercedes. But, Ima be honest with you. When it comes to the tech and the backseat in the Maybach is unmatched. But, my day to day car is the Bentley Continental GT, that car is simply amazing.
its the worst car in this world in terms of "value for money". Having said that, people who buy these cars have money to throw away. The car is the epitome of luxury although its not so tech heavy as the maybach. And I don't think they care about improving that. As far as self driving is concerrned, tesla is way ahead of any other car in this world. Tesla is the epitome of tech in cars and no one can match them. Its made in silicon valley and the germans are scrambling. Its going to be really hard (read: impossible) for the germans to compete with the guys in the valley.

Idk. I recently came across a 1934 phantom and its craftsmanship was simply on another level. It radiated class, luxury, and power. Today's phantoms are so average looking. Most people would never guess it's a half a million dollar car if they saw it drive by unless you mentioned "rolls royce". I know this is an unpopular opinion but you all should see what a fully loaded phantom II looked like in the 30s.

The F4C Phantom that I flew as an Air Force fighter pilot (555th TFS, Udorn AB) during the Vietnam War looked a lot nicer, much more comfortable, lots more power, power steering, air conditioning, HF/VHF radio and navigation.
