This is great. I loved these synth tunes (seemed so modern at the time!) and made recordings off the telly on my old cassette recorder! Needless to say, this is much better quality. Thanks!
@@dvidclapperton Yes, they added those two on because the Carmen Suite tape ran to only just over 50 minutes, and they wanted to make the running time of the combined compilations up to 3 hours! The complete "Almost Together" tape was eventually re used to compile the final 3-hour programme when 21 Denmark Street arrived about a year later.
Initially, we only got to hear the first 55 minutes of these tapes. This meant that the music would fade in the middle of "Planters Punch." It was several weeks before we finally got to hear "Fast Fistful." After the tapes were combined into three's, a full play of the tape became the norm.
19:44, Autorythm yeah that’s the one I was waiting for and the other Fast Fistful. That’s cleared up a mystery for me. I wonder if Tim Cross is the musician that worked with Mike Oldfiel?, another mystery to solve.

The "Almost Together" tape was also re-used in its entirety as the second hour of the 1983 compilation "Colour Supplement," which was "And I Love Her" (minus the first track), "Almost Together" and "21 Denmark Street."
And there's a video on TH-cam where it was also played during BBC2 continuity just before programmes started for the day. I will find the link and post it here.

It was great when you heard Almost Together and Ten Four at the end of the 3 hours when they played the 3 x 3 hour long tapes.

The last 2 tracks of the classical tape were the first 2 tracks of the Almost Together tape.
