@@channel-sanji nah in terms of depth, unexpected, aging like fine wine. This intro was incredible. Why Blackbeard is my favorite villain. He is a simple pirate following his dream. He isn't some final boss who is overpowered and as evil as they come, but a man we watch grow from a simple crewmember to a potential king. He and his crew struggled and fought just like the Straw Hats and are getting stronger as time goes by. They didn't start strong but are growing along side our crew.
The perfect mirror to Straw Hats. Where every straw hat member joins to fulfill both their own dream and Luffy's dream, Blackbeard pirates all just share some common interest in being together. Its like the cold, emotionless version of the straw hats.
@@mormsophen3238 But he's also their opposite at the same time. He's a lying coward who betrayed his previous crew, and is ruthless and has no regard for others.
The foreshadowing of Luffy never smiling at him, even as he defends and encourages Luffy, even before Luffy finds out who he is. I wonder if Luffy, on some level, just knew. We've seen that Luffy is often a very good, instinctive judge of character.
My theory is that it has more to do with what he said. Luffy is conflicted because Blackbeard is much like him but in a sense also the complete opposite. "People's dreams have no end". Blackbeard is a dreamer just like Luffy, but Luffy's dream does have an end. Blackbeard on the other hand is someone who is never satisfied. He embodies greed in a sense.
Idt blackbeard is someone that luffy hates like to the core, just like Mrpastige over here said, blackbeard so far in one piece is one of the closest characters of luffy goals, its just they have different ways, and different concepts of happiness, i do disagree with teach not having a goal, i think he does we just dont know
I think by "they" Luffy and Zoro either mean the Blackbeard crew who were around at the time, OR that Blackbeard has multiple personalities/absorbed twin stuff going on
he clearly has multiple personalities, at the end of the video he says the drinks sure taste good today, but he said before that they taste bad and he only liked the cherry pie
5:47 In Japan, there is a theory that Blackbeard is Cerberus who ate the Human-Human Fruit. That is why he can use three Devil Fruit abilities. By the way, the position of Blackbeard's teeth in the work is different, there are three types, and they change depending on the scene.
Idk if it was on purpose but after rewatching this scene awhile back ago, the bar scene is very similar to how Shanks allowed the bandit to "harm" him.

Blackbeard is one of the best villain of all. Maybe the best. Just by the fact that he is not a essencially bad guy, I mean, he is devil but he is bc he want to accomplish his dream so much as Luffy or any dreamer pirate. Sometimes you need to break some eggs, but for him, doesn't matter whose the eggs are. That's the difference between him and Luffy or whatever other kindheart pirate.

But in this episode Blackbeard says the cherry pie was good. So it's not he its they. 2 people one who hate the cherry pie another one who likes the cherry pie.
