I have to say that aside from K.Will's this was probably one of the most well thought up, better executed music videos I have seen in Kpop in a very, very long time. And the main reason is that it's straightforward with a metaphor that is easy to understand and a music video that matches the tone and lyrics of a song. That is incredibly hard to find in Kpop, since it's not that easy to execute. Sometimes, the metaphor and symbolism will just be too convoluted and people will try to argue and justify it and say it's meant to have many different meanings, but really it just means that it wasn't properly done. If there is a message or a purpose behind something it still needs to be straightforward or else it's just an excuse to a crappy job. Sometimes, they'll forget the lyrics all together and to be edgy and creative they'll try to mix a tonally different look to the MV. That doesn't always work either. You can't just ignore the message of the lyrics or the melody and act like the song doesn't have it's own tone, either. With this, the name of the motel fits the concept of the song, lyrically, as well as the concept of the video, tonally. The lyrics describe a dead relationship, specifically talking about someone who is still madly in love with the person that left them, bordering obsession. The dead partners are representation of the person they "lost" and are still grieving for them, unable to move past what they had. And then Jiwoo and Somin being drastically different in appearance and lifestyle shows that this kind of obsession and dependency can happen to anyone. Also, the reveal was nicely done. It kind of made you go "WTF" but then it also made sense considering how completely detached both BM and J.Seph seemed throughout the video. There's nothing to overanalyze about this and that's what makes me appreciate it more. The dance and vocals were solid. The song was unique and yet still had that signature Kard flare that we can all appreciate. The set was simple yet it got the job done. The colors, the editing, the lighting, the style, everything was great.
the meaning is actually really easy to figure out once you read the lyrics. The boys are not actually dead. The dead corpses symbolise how their love is dead, but the girls can't accept the end of the relationship and go kind of crazy. And Apego means attatchment

I liked the MV and this song too. As a matter of fact I love the mini album. It’s really good and I am glad they did different style while still keeping their essence that is KARD. My fav tracks is the title track You In Me and Into You.
If you listen to their full mini album you'll hear songs that sound different. I think they're just playing it safe with their title tracks though and trying to get the public used to them which is fair enough
I like the fact that KARD has cemented themselves in this particular sound like they already knew from day 1 that this was going to be their niche. Eventually, of course, they will branch out into other genres but they're not even a year old yet and they've already become a household name in k-pop for the tropical house/dancehall style. I'm enjoying this song a LOT, but definitely check out the rest of the album :)
According to my dictionary, 'apego' means (spanish) 'obsession'. It does have other definitions, but the definition that is the closest to their music is obsession. The entire album's flow and concept is (I believe KARD explained as) 'obsession'. + FYI, YES IMMA KOREAN.

"apego" in brazilian portuguese means "attachment" so it makes a lot of sense in the mv, the girls are attached to them.
