I just wanted you to know that I finally decided to try this and I am so happy with it. It just looks amazing. Your video is def not for brand new glitchers, but you made this incredibly simple to follow once you know the basics and I appreciate it so much.
This was seriously so helpful, love how you're always straight to the point and explain your process in a way that's super easy to follow along! Also the designs are gorgeous
I watched the video because I was curious about the beautiful door but, the best of it was that now I know how people replace the default walls in their places, something I've wanted to do for some time so, thanks!
This is the 2nd time I'm doing this door :D This time a larger version with the whole window :) Now for the small imitation windows and hoping they wont snap to any walls o.o
Please show more of your work!!! I would like a sliding partition Japanese style. And the indoor window that has a Japanese theme with water. Basically I just need help lol 😆
Hello! Is it possible to request how you did the floating bed thing in your video of Rhai'li's Cottage? If not is okay, but I've been wondering for ages how to pull it off. His little cottage is/was amazing!
@@AkhRhai tried it a few time and doesn't seem like it work anymore. However you still could use another method of placing the window on the default wall then place stage panel as close to the wall as possible then exit the menu. If it's close enough the window should stick to the stage panel
You could do this trick: 1. Place -any- furnishing/tabletop/wallmounted item down from your inventory 2. Take it back to your inventory using the back to inventory tool 3. Take the stage panel back to your inventory using the same tool When you take something back to your inventory they all dettach from each other :)
I’m not sure I understand. So I know how to get the window off the stage to put it in my inventory. I don’t know how to move the stage without moving the window like you did. Once I mount the window to the stage wall, nothing I do will make it so that my window will stick to the front door. It’s firmly attached to the stage wall. I can’t seem to figure out how to get the window to turn backwards and attach to the front door.
@@riverboen9273 As I said, I don't put the window on the stage panel - I put it on a wooden beam that in turn sits on the stage panel. That way I can still see the window, move the stage panel and it all moves along with it. Basically using the beam as a crane that allows for more vision while I align the window. After that you don't NEED to move the stage panel - you can just move them back to your inventory using the technique I just described by taking both the beam and the stage panel back to your inventory. I highly recommend checking out the links in the description for the FD discord that has a lot of guides on this gathered up :)

Whats the trick to making the door stick after exiting the housing menu? I put it in place and remove the stage panel and and it looks fine then i leave the housing menu and the door disappears??
There must be something behind it that the windows are snapping to then. This is one of the reasons why you place the windows in backwards instead, they won't have a snapping point in that direction
@@AkhRhai it was in backwards. If I put it in regularly it stays but backwards it won't. I keep watching that segment of your video to see what exactly you are hitting to place it, then remove it from the stage panel and keep it in place but i cant make it out from the video, Can you explain just that process for me?
@@AkhRhai I did and I can place the window on the stage (with or without wooden beam) and I can place it on the white rectangular partition backwards and remove everything and it stays, UNTIL I then close out of housing mode. Then the window disappears (and im assuming it goes back in storage). If I put in in the correct way (not backwards) it stays after i exit the housing mode.

Beautiful! But, I'll say it over and over again, *why* did SE make objects more complicated than 'this is decor'? *edited because it uses the tedious furnishing glitch
This might sound stupid but, how do you move your work that you just made to the door? Does it just.. all move together when you move it? :0 because I don’t think it’s all attached together, right?
No, nothing is attached together really :) once you've built it that's where it sits! When you're doing housing it's important to plan where you want things to end up. I spend a lot of time building things just to take them down again to rebuilld 5 pixels to the side, lol!
