Coming from South India, I had thought sitar is more craft than art (too many strings, movable frets compared to the Veena), but the music is sublime!!!
Also, this Pantuvarali for us...with some subtleties. And great tabla too!!

Purbayan ji I have listened to raag puriya Dhanashree several time but never so unique never so beautifully placed never so calculated. I feel blessed to have listened to this and pandit Bose is outstanding as always, the Bengal tiger roars melodiously as always 🙏🏼🙏🏼

I Was Fortunate Enough to be Among the Overcrowded Audience to Witness the Extravaganza♥️
I was listening to this master piece with closed eyes and multiple times it gave me feeling as if I was listening to Pandit Nikhil Banerjee. Who says he is no more with us ? He is still and in more refined way in form of this young remarkable sitar maestro.
And special thnks should also be given to Pandit Kumar Bose Ji for his matured and measured accompaniment which has enhanced the taste of this sitar rendition without over powered it.
And last but not the least, kudos to the sound engineer for this heaven like recording ❤

@@biswajitgoswami5498 As far as I know, the term "ustad" is applied to Muslim artists (I am not Muslim) and Pandit or Panditji used for Hindu artists. Maybe the terms have changed and I am not aware. There was a controversy some years ago when a famous Muslim musician referred to himself as "Pandit" It doesn't really matter to me personally but I am just following the terminology of the tradtion.
@@indetif839 Ustad or Pandit means ‘a master’. It is our problem that we have connected them to some or the other religion. But it doesn’t really matter.
