@@jordanabeaulieu2530 I had the opportunity to rescue two dogs that were left alone in a house for over 4 days and let me tell you this wasn't a celebration at all! So this is how it went down... I live 5 houses down from these poor dogs. One is a Chihuahua and the other is a golden Cocker spaniel! I walk my dogs everyday past this house and the dogs were 24/7 barking and I noticed that the owner still hadn't come home! So by day 3 I called the police, and trying to get them to remove the dogs was a fucking nightmare on it own! So day 4 early morning I'm on the phone telling them nobody has returned home and that the condition of the dogs wasn't so good! They were very sad and hungry and lonely too. My broken , BUT no later then 1 hour after getting off the phone with the police , they finally showed up and broke into the house and grabbed the dogs! OMFG .... the dogs were so weak they couldn't walk, they were both whimpering , but they're tails were wagging when they saw me,! Two cops carried them into they're cars and took them to the SPCA! Once they left with the dogs one of the other cops came and told me that I was a angel for not giving up on getting those dogs out of the house, because he said there wasn't any signs of food or water for them and even the bathroom door was locked and so was the pantry where the dogs food was kept! The dogs had tried to break that pantry door down to get to there food but they are were to weak ! I couldn't believe what I was hearing I cried like a little girl. Turns out that the owner was fined and banned from ever owning a another dog or any kind of house pet! She's fucking lucky I didn't give her a taste of what she had done to her dogs!

A neighbor, a family member anyone just feed her, she really couldn't have eaten much. Give her water. Do something. Call someone. Ppl need to get involved and ppl need to be prosecuted for this and other abuses. GET INVOLVED. Write ur congress. We need to change animal abuse to a felony in all states. This video had me balling like a baby, I have two rescued chihuahuas and they were no where near in this terrible of shape. I love all dogs but Chi's have a special place in my heart reserved for their breed. God bless the rescuers of all furbabies. Cats dogs domestic or feral. They all need and deserve our love.

I think, they are the only breed of dog that truly show emotion with tears, they really "cry" - I babysat my sister's Chihuahua when he was perhaps 4 mo. old, and he cried for her almost the entire extended weekend, it was pathetic, it was so pathetic, i couldn't even be upset when he'd just poop right in the middle of the room, then - pee on my kids' toy box. lol (Of course I'd been told he was fully trained, when she returned she said "Oh I meant trained to go on pads behind the sofa"... thanks, I gladly would have bought pads! My dog, kept looking at the pooper like "what - are you doing"!!! I held the little dog almost the whole time he was with me because he just seems so lost (well, he WAS, he didn't know me at all before she dropped him off) :( poor pup!
I will always cherish this breed of dog. Hopefully when I get to that age. . I will be able to have my pet chihuahua in an old folks home. I will keep this family of male chi's breeding so I have the legacy of my Frisco dog with me.
Our small dog got ran over and our Pit saw my husband bury him. Poor Hailey Rose, still won't have too much to do with my husband. All living animals have the same needs and wants that we have, I do believe this.
As far as I know the only thing "Eye for an eye" means is to do unto someone the same as they did to something else. Is that not what it means? If so, that's a pretty HATEFUL way to life one's life, always perpetrating the same violence and hate upon other living things as was done to them. Sorry but people who think that way have the same mental illness as those who hurt animals.

After the title, “When life hands you Lemons” I was so touched by this story, it makes me cry every time. Chichis are wonderful lil passionate creatures with a huge ❤️ everyone who owns one would agree! 💕
Her heart is right in those big soft brown sweet eyes isn't it? I cannot picture the kind of person/damaged/monster that can hurt/neglect something so sweet this badly. She is wonderful, as are her rescuers and new family. I'd have taken her in a heartbeat! ALSO, the SONG is AMAZING!
I have a chihuahua named Tommy. It was difficult to watch this sweet little dog struggle to gain weight and strength to sit or stand. Glad she was found and received help to make her well enough to be fostered and finally adopted. Chihuahua's are extremely lovable little dogs. Unless you have owned one, you have no idea what you are missing. Hope Lemon has a great life in her new forever home.

She was brought in as a stray. I live in this area so I'd read the story as it was happening. It was said that it was the owner who brought her in but didn't want to admit he was so he lied and claimed he 'found' her. I believe there was an investigation but this actually happened over two years ago. Lemon was adopted by a beautiful, loving family and knows nothing but love and being spoiled. 💗💗
@@sandimccarthy2067 It actually happened 4 years ago. A GoFundMe campaign was started in 2016 because her neurological problems got a lot worse and they needed money for her care. After that, there is nothing on her. I actually just sent a message to the shelter she was at (Kent County Animal Shelter) and to Jennifer Collier (who put this video on line). Hopefully, I'll get an answer about her wherabouts! :-)
Thank you so much for saving this precious dog and bringing him back from the brink of death. It is truly incredible how badly people can hurt an animal both emotional and physical . This little guy is so cute with that tail wiggling constantly.
Poor little darling I’m so glad there is still some people with a heart and that care they are so tiny and defenceless. I have taken in dogs before. It’s so good that the dog is getting love and attention God Bless her and the sweet people who cared for her.
Sadly, we had a similar little furry. My daughter walked to school every day. And even at the start of the school year, it's extremely hot here in TX. She noticed a little dog just like this one hiding under a car. Trying to keep out of the direct heat. After coming by several days and the dog was still there, she coaxed it out. It had tar & oil all over it and was very emaciated. She brought the little dog home. She laid on the tile floor in the kitchen for a good long while. We hand fed her and gave her water. Being careful not to overfeed or allow her to drink too much. We then bathed her to get rid of the tar and oil. After the bath, she was exhausted and laid in my daughter's lap for a long time. We set her up in the kitchen so that she couldn't roam the house and was safe. We had a dog and several cats that we had already rescued. But they didn't have an issue with this scrawny little dog. My daughter spent a couple of weeks putting up signs in the neighborhood looking to see this little one had a home. No one called to claim her. So naturally, we took her in. She was a great companion for my mother who was sick and never really got over the death of my father. We named her Fey. And she lived with us for several years before succumbing to a heart condition on mother's day several years back. Seldom a day goes by that I don't remember that little face that met me at the back door after work. Or pestered to get onto my lap when I was trying to watch TV. She was a constant companion for mom until she passed away early 2000. It maddens me that someone had abused this little thing. Whenever we would get out a broom to sweep the kitchen, she would cower in a corner as if someone had beat her. It sickens me that folks don't want to take care of the creatures that the Good Lord gave us. They're like little furry angels. And they surely get into our hearts and we sorely feel the loss when they cross over the rainbow bridge. Her collar and tags are kept in a special place so as to not forget her.

7-8 YEARS AGO, MY BROTHER BROUGHT HOME A LITTLE DOG HE FOUND WANDERING AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD; SHE WAS TINY, COLD, LOOK EMACIATED. I HAVE BEEN AN ANIMAL LOVER FOR YEARS AND IN FACT WANTED TO BE A HORSE VET. WE TOOK HER TO THE VET AND HAD HER CHECKED. AT ANY RATE, WE CALLED HER "BUFFY." SHE SLEPT WITH ME AND SHE WAS LOVED AND FINALLY GOT TO WHERE SHE WOULD TRUST ME AND MY BROTHER. A SEVERAL MONTHS LATER, BUFFY WAS ACTING VERY STRANGE, SO I TOOK HER TO THE VET AGAIN. COME TO FIND OUT, SHE WAS IN LABOR AND THE PUPPY WAS STUCK IN THE BIRTH CANAL BECAUSE SHE WAS SO BIG. THE VET DID A C-SECTION AND GAVE US A LITTLE GIRL PUPPY. SHE WAS BORN WITH A WHITE STAR ON HER HEAD SO I CALLED HER "STARLET." I HAVE TO SAY THAT THESE DOGS, (MY CHILDREN) ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT "PEOPLE" IN MY LIFE. THEY SLEEP WITH ME, WATCH TV WITH ME, RUN AROUND THE BACK YARD WITH ME AND GIVE ME LOTS OF WET KISSES. ANYBODY WHO MISTREATS ANY ANIMAL SHOULD BE PUT IN JAIL AND THROW AWAY THE KEY. IF I WERE TO SEE ANYBODY MISTREATED ANY ANIMAL, ALL THE WRATH OF GOD WOULD BE LET LOOSE. I AM VERY BLESSED TO HAVE BUFFY AND STARLET. I AM NOW CONSIDERING GETTING ANOTHER HORSE. All of our dogs were strays out in the streets. We took them in and they have been with us ever since. Some of our dogs ran away that we rescued or were given. But I guess we weren't meant to have them. But the dogs we have now that are rescues, are really truly meant to be with us. I swear they thank me everyday. They didn't look emaciated, but they were loved. I love horseback riding too. I ride at the Calvin Center Equestrian Program in Hampton, Georgia.

This is such a beautiful story it broke my heart to see what the puppy looked like at the start, this made me sad that the puppy was like that at the start but so happy and heartwarming during the clip as the puppy got better. It was so heart breaking when the died , like the end of the world . Moved on to Maltese terriers , loved them , love all dogs , would have many many dogs if I could . Xxxx

I think, they are the only breed of dog that truly show emotion with tears, they really "cry" - I babysat my sister's Chihuahua when he was perhaps 4 mo. old, and he cried for her almost the entire extended weekend, it was pathetic, it was so pathetic, i couldn't even be upset when he'd just poop right in the middle of the room, then - pee on my kids' toy box. lol (Of course I'd been told he was fully trained, when she returned she said "Oh I meant trained to go on pads behind the sofa"... thanks, I gladly would have bought pads! My dog, kept looking at the pooper like "what - are you doing"!!! I held the little dog almost the whole time he was with me because he just seems so lost (well, he WAS, he didn't know me at all before she dropped him off) :( poor pup!
I will always cherish this breed of dog. Hopefully when I get to that age. . I will be able to have my pet chihuahua in an old folks home. I will keep this family of male chi's breeding so I have the legacy of my Frisco dog with me.
Our small dog got ran over and our Pit saw my husband bury him. Poor Hailey Rose, still won't have too much to do with my husband. All living animals have the same needs and wants that we have, I do believe this.

I have a chihuahua named Tommy. It was difficult to watch this sweet little dog struggle to gain weight and strength to sit or stand. Glad she was found and received help to make her well enough to be fostered and finally adopted. Chihuahua's are extremely lovable little dogs. Unless you have owned one, you have no idea what you are missing. Hope Lemon has a great life in her new forever home.

Where on earth was she that she ended up in such a mess. Intrigued to know how she was found. She has a beautiful spirit I hope she gets a loving home.
She was brought in as a stray. I live in this area so I'd read the story as it was happening. It was said that it was the owner who brought her in but didn't want to admit he was so he lied and claimed he 'found' her. I believe there was an investigation but this actually happened over two years ago. Lemon was adopted by a beautiful, loving family and knows nothing but love and being spoiled. 💗💗

@@sandimccarthy2067 It actually happened 4 years ago. A GoFundMe campaign was started in 2016 because her neurological problems got a lot worse and they needed money for her care. After that, there is nothing on her. I actually just sent a message to the shelter she was at (Kent County Animal Shelter) and to Jennifer Collier (who put this video on line). Hopefully, I'll get an answer about her wherabouts! :-)
Once that tail started going it never stopped again.
Thank you so much for saving this precious dog and bringing him back from the brink of death. It is truly incredible how badly people can hurt an animal both emotional and physical . This little guy is so cute with that tail wiggling constantly.

Sadly, we had a similar little furry. My daughter walked to school every day. And even at the start of the school year, it's extremely hot here in TX. She noticed a little dog just like this one hiding under a car. Trying to keep out of the direct heat. After coming by several days and the dog was still there, she coaxed it out. It had tar & oil all over it and was very emaciated.
She brought the little dog home. She laid on the tile floor in the kitchen for a good long while. We hand fed her and gave her water. Being careful not to overfeed or allow her to drink too much.
We then bathed her to get rid of the tar and oil. After the bath, she was exhausted and laid in my daughter's lap for a long time. We set her up in the kitchen so that she couldn't roam the house and was safe. We had a dog and several cats that we had already rescued. But they didn't have an issue with this scrawny little dog.
My daughter spent a couple of weeks putting up signs in the neighborhood looking to see this little one had a home. No one called to claim her. So naturally, we took her in. She was a great companion for my mother who was sick and never really got over the death of my father. We named her Fey. And she lived with us for several years before succumbing to a heart condition on mother's day several years back. Seldom a day goes by that I don't remember that little face that met me at the back door after work. Or pestered to get onto my lap when I was trying to watch TV. She was a constant companion for mom until she passed away early 2000.
It maddens me that someone had abused this little thing. Whenever we would get out a broom to sweep the kitchen, she would cower in a corner as if someone had beat her. It sickens me that folks don't want to take care of the creatures that the Good Lord gave us. They're like little furry angels. And they surely get into our hearts and we sorely feel the loss when they cross over the rainbow bridge.
Her collar and tags are kept in a special place so as to not forget her.

I HAVE BEEN AN ANIMAL LOVER FOR YEARS AND IN FACT WANTED TO BE A HORSE VET. WE TOOK HER TO THE VET AND HAD HER CHECKED. AT ANY RATE, WE CALLED HER "BUFFY." SHE SLEPT WITH ME AND SHE WAS LOVED AND FINALLY GOT TO WHERE SHE WOULD TRUST ME AND MY BROTHER. A SEVERAL MONTHS LATER, BUFFY WAS ACTING VERY STRANGE, SO I TOOK HER TO THE VET AGAIN. COME TO FIND OUT, SHE WAS IN LABOR AND THE PUPPY WAS STUCK IN THE BIRTH CANAL BECAUSE SHE WAS SO BIG. THE VET DID A C-SECTION AND GAVE US A LITTLE GIRL PUPPY. SHE WAS BORN WITH A WHITE STAR ON HER HEAD SO I CALLED HER "STARLET." I HAVE TO SAY THAT THESE DOGS, (MY CHILDREN) ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT "PEOPLE" IN MY LIFE. THEY SLEEP WITH ME, WATCH TV WITH ME, RUN AROUND THE BACK YARD WITH ME AND GIVE ME LOTS OF WET KISSES. ANYBODY WHO MISTREATS ANY ANIMAL SHOULD BE PUT IN JAIL AND THROW AWAY THE KEY. IF I WERE TO SEE ANYBODY MISTREATED ANY ANIMAL, ALL THE WRATH OF GOD WOULD BE LET LOOSE.
I AM VERY BLESSED TO HAVE BUFFY AND STARLET. I AM NOW CONSIDERING GETTING ANOTHER HORSE. I USED TO OWN A 20 ACRE HORSE RANCH UP NEAR MADERA, CALIFORNIA AND RAISED MORGAN HORSES. All of our dogs were strays out in the streets. We took them in and they have been with us ever since. Some of our dogs ran away that we rescued or were given. But I guess we weren't meant to have them. But the dogs we have now that are rescues, are really truly meant to be with us. I swear they thank me everyday. They didn't look emaciated, but they were loved. I love horseback riding too. I ride at the Calvin Center Equestrian Program in Hampton, Georgia.
