    The "De-confliction Line" was to keep lines of communication between Russian and U.S. Forces to avoid them coming into conflict with each other and accidentally starting WW3. The Wagner Group (Russians) decided not to honor that agreement and cross the Euphrates River to gain control of an Oil Field. They had previously agreed to stay on their side of the river to avoid this very type of incident. The enemy was ISIS whom both sides were fighting.

    If you see the official report on the attack it starts with the statement “After contacting the Russian authorities we were assured that there were no Russian assets in the area.” The report concludes with, “At the end of the engagement we contacted the Russian authorities and verified with them there were no Russian assets in the area.”

      @anonymousone6075Actually Russia had anti-aircraft in the area before. The U.S. told Russia they were sending in aircraft to protect ground forces and if they came under fire from AA they would destroy the AA, so Russia gave the order for AA to not fire.
      Another thing you need to know is Syria agreed to have U.S. forces there also.

    In 2015 the US spent around $633 billion and in 2021 it went up to $800 billion. Russia spent around $72 billion and they rank 5th in military spending. The US spends more than the next five countries combined so you could say the United States is dead serious about its military.

Of course it's funding would be reduced if we closer to Europe & smaller in size. Our bases are located to protect all of our borders, land & sea.

    The short buzzing sounds from the gatling gun of the C-130. It can fire 1800 rounds per minute. Every 10th round is a tracer round. When you see it in action it looks like a bright tube reaching from the plane to the ground. The targets below cannot withstand it and is destroyed quiclky.

    Russia: "No, we do not have Russian soldiers located anywhere near your location."

    Holy fuck, reading these comments is painful. Wagner group are citizens of Russia, they're not the Russian military. Under the contract which put Wagner group on the ground, they could keep a percentage of the proceeds for any oil fields which they secured. Being greedy, they thought they could slip across the border and do a quick snatch mission by overpowering US forces before they could react. Little did they know, the USA has developed so much infrastructure and capability to monitor territory as counter IED capabilities, they can tell if someone farts in their area.
    The Russians didn't represent Wagner so they reported that there were no Russian troops on the ground. The majority of the people on the ground were actually Syrians, not Russians. Etc. Etc. Etc. US Special Forces were not the only forces on the ground. In fact, the majority of the ground forces were Rangers and Marines with a detachment from 1SFOD-D, that's Delta Force if you don't know.
    This is really over stated.

    • @Austin.Kilgore
      @Austin.Kilgore 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      But wasn’t it mentioned that those Wagner forces were literally in contact with Moscow/that the attack was ordered by Moscow??? Also tbh Ukraine (at least last I was paying attention to it) demonstrated that Wagner forces not only better equipped than the actual Russian forces but it seems to be that they’re even better trained than the actual Russian forces. Russia is corrupt as corrupt can be, so I wouldn’t exactly be surprised if Russian officials were secretly funneling a lot of the money/equipment mean for the official Russian military to Wagner instead… also seems like you’d be mistaken to think of “Wagner” as being much of a step down from the actual Russian military… rather they even be superior in some regards. (At least prior to whatever’s happened within this last year… because Im pretty sure I remember seeing that the leader of Wagner was killed or something like that not too long after being in direct conflict with Putin. So I’m unsure of what’s happened with Wagner as a result of all that.)

    Please stop calling mercenaries “army” as in a nation’s army. They are hired private mercenaries. Yes, most have probably been in the Russian army at some time, but they are not defenders but hired contract killers. Companies all over the world employ them, and from all countries (US,UK,France.etc), but they are contract killers NOT defenders of their home nations.
