Hey guys, before judging my character or my creativity please note that I have credited heyclaire in the description because I got this method of organization (using muji containers) from her. However, I am not trying to blatantly copy her in any way. If you look at the rest of my videos you would see that I use this style of editing in every single one of my videos. For this particular video I found that this way of showing the products is, in my opinion, the best way to show the contents of each container & I also used this method in my previous vanity tour as well as in other videos. With that said, I'm not trying to take credit for anything. I have no problem saying that she is an inspiration or crediting her when it's due ( she's awesome & I ALWAYS recommend her channel to anyone who asks for my faves) but I try my best to make these videos, as well as anything that I create, my own & I work really hard on all of my content. Hopefully those who have been subscribed for a while can attest to that. It's not fair to be judged based on a single video but I understand where those of you that are standing up for Claire are coming from & I can assure you that I'm not doing anything with bad intentions. As for the vanity, I have multiple pieces of furniture from this exact West Elm line in my house & I have always loved it even before I knew she had this desk. xx

I was curious to what others were saying about this Claire girl so I went to her video. Ummmm, ppl are reaching and digging hard. I love your elegance and style that you hold in all your videos. It's your own style.

Okay, but I can name a thousand videos/editorials/Instagram posts/blog posts/etc. in which creators overlay handwritten text with imagery. Keep doing you, girl. That aside, I loved the video. You're constantly inspiring my own home decor.

I love the simplicity of your vanity and the manageable collection- I am looking to downsize from those damn Alex drawers and ikea desk that I’ve had for years because I saw it on TH-cam and convinced myself that I needed it along with a monster makeup collection. Don’t sweat those who can’t watch a beautifully done video and appreciate it without leaving a rude comment comparing you to another channel. People are NUTS. Claire is not the originator of this editing style! There are A LOT of videos on TH-cam with the same style. I like YOUR video and screw anyone who accuses YOU of copying. Everyone copies in some shape or form. Hell look at all the damn IKEA setups on TH-cam for example 🤣😂

It would be appropriate to credit Claire in the description because this is her editing style, and, she did make the video on using her handwriting in video's before you did. In a previous comment, you're telling a viewer to look at your video and monetizing off of someone else's idea. She's a fellow creator, give credit where it's due. No hate, I enjoy your video's but this wasn't cool.
Hey love, I understand where you're coming from but I work really hard on making these videos my own & I don't think it's fair to say that I'm monetizing off another person's ideas unless I specifically make a video showing people how I put the handwriting in my videos. You're right, in the comment below I should've told the person to check out Claire's video instead of mine, I agree with you & I will tell them. I have also put a link to Claire's video in the description of that video. But to say that I should credit her in this video because this is her editing style is the same as telling me to credit her in every single one of my videos because I use my handwriting in the majority of my videos. Everyone gains inspiration from somewhere, if I were to be blatantly copying someone then I wouldn't address this at all but it really bothers me to see someone completely neglect the time and effort I put into my content simply because they see my own handwriting in it, which by the way many people do now a days. I love Claire and she has always been an inspiration as well as many other content creators but I take inspiration & try my best to change it & make it my own, I will never blatantly copy her or anyone else. With that said, I appreciate you standing up for Claire, I know you come from a good place & I get where you're coming from but I can assure you that I don't have bad intentions & I'm not trying to take any credit. As for the actual vanity & muji containers, I did get the organization idea from Claire ( which I mentioned in a previous comment & I have credited her in my description for that ) but I have always loved the mid century line from west elm, I have three pieces of furniture in my house from this exact line & I've loved this line even before I knew she had it. ❤️
When you view other videos with all the Ikea Alex drawers and desks, and acrylic muji drawers, do you tell them they should credit whoever was the first one to showcase It? Shut up.
A lot of people have that same vanity and muji drawers. I use those muji drawers in my desk (not the same one) and in my kitchen and bathroom. Products are not meant to be purchased by just one person. It's not that serious.
I found that this was the best way to show the products & I have done videos in the past where I show products like this but If you took the time to read my description you would've seen that I credited Claire.
And also, please look at the rest of my videos before you comment on my creativity. It's not fair to judge based on one video. I did my last vanity tour exactly like this one.
There is a fine line between inspiration and direct copying and I do agree that this definitely crosses that line. The set up is exactly the same as is the the filming and editing 🤷🏻♀️
