Melee player-naramon school Caster frame-zenurik school healer/support-vazirin school Base dmg-madurai school and unairu isint bad for its ability but its passive is weak imo but its nice for cc
I was going to get the zenerik school but picked naramon then I didn't know that if you equip a differint lens on you war frame if you have one equiped equipped it gets destroyed so now I'm have the unairu lens on my war frame found out that I actually need naramon lens because I'm a melee user so how do I farm lens and can I change my focus school
So, somehow i finished second dream and war within and all that without realizing there is a whole different layer to the game now. Holy shit. This isnt normal my dudes. This game is something else.
Xbox one most people are unaware of this and it was hinted at in the video. focus scales from affinity gained. so a Warframe ability kill gets 100% affinity. weapon kills is 50% to weapon 50% to warframe. however shared affinity (teammate gets the kill) is 25% to warframe 75% to weapons (divided between how many are equipped). so if you don't want to waste affinity/focus, I recommend equipping ONLY the weapon with the lense and let your team get the kills OR put the lense on a powerful frame and get all the kills with your abilities. how do I know? I don't "farm" focus and I have 4/5 schools fairly unlocked. (and this comment went longer than intended)
69th like and still dont get what that means *FOR THE MOTHER FU* DURATION OF TGE MISSION* so how long is that? If i run Survival 5 hours it goes 5 hours???
(XB1) I would suggest only putting lenses on your weapons that you use a lot to start with and hold off putting a lens on a Warframe unless it literally is the only Warframe you use. I made the mistake of putting my first lens onto my Ash Prime because it was the only frame I was using at the time and then I got into farming and trading and now I have virtually every Warframe and weapon there is but only a handful of things with lenses that can help me earn focus. I put my next 3 lenses on my Soma Prime, Orthos Prime and Vaykor Marelok as that's basically my go-to setup and then put any duplicate lenses of those types (Naramon, Madurai and Zenurik are the lenses I use mainly) onto Warframes. If you make sure to get greater lenses wherever possible you can earn a LOT of focus very quickly in Sortie missions too which is great to help start unlocking those more useful abilities which last for the duration of the game =]
PS4 - I think a good suggestion for those wanting to pick a primary focus school is that how well will the abilities benefit you and your playstyle. Unairu is awesome for tank builds while Madurai and Naramon are great for killing things either by range or melee respectively. Other than that I gotta say this a great video and very informative for those that needed the information. Keep up the good work Neo!
PC. Hello, just found your channel and am finding many helpful tips. Thank you for making videos like this that clear up any confusion people have for how things work and the process of working towards becoming a better tenno.
PS4 I am loving these videos. I'm new to the game and these are so helpful. The game is so deep and so many systems, so its great to have this playlist that helps me understand the many things I need to know.
Xb1 Once again I have to thank you for a video. Anyone else who has tried to explain these to me have just made me even more confused. You made it really easy to follow.
Started playing like few weeks ago and saw your channel. Its very helpful, i followed all your tips. work on the alerts and collected some mods to sell guess what i currently have 589 plats. thanks bro! More power
PC: Thanks for the guide mate; It really helps, even though I didn't unlock them yet, it's good to know for the future because I'm really close to Second Dream quest. A really great guide :D You're the best!
PS4 Had to go thru a few videos before I got to this one, glad I did. Found your channel and now going thru your other videos. Awesome work. Will be joining ur twich stream too. Looking forward to it
So I’m aware this is an old video, but running a greater zenurik with Mesa, and different lenses on all weapons; I get focus points for kills only achieved with mesa’s 4th ability.... the big difference is keeping weapons “out” or visible while using that particular frame. I am currently farming over 30k with my frame lens, and 5k per weapon on a wave 20 run of ackad(sic)....
I have different builds on my Orthos, but mainly I use [Primed Pressure Point] | [Primed Reach] | [Primed Fury] | [Buzz Kill] | [Jagged Edge] | [Spoiled Strike] | (Fever Strike & Shocking Touch
(XB1) If you have Maiming Strike then Orthos Prime is God-tier - my personal build is Primed Pressure Point, Organ Shatter, Reach, Blood Rush, Body Count, Maiming Strike and then a choice of either corrosive dual elemental or viral dual elemental. This is a red-crit build which if you use slide attack will ALWAYS hit red-crits and one-shot 99% of enemies, pretty much regardless of level as well...it's also fantastic for clearing out entire rooms with just a few sliding attacks as Maiming Strike offers such a huge boost to critical hits on slide attack that you can't possibly fail to hit big numbers and the Orthos has great reach already so it can hit enemies which are upto 15 metres away from you ;D
well i don't have maiming strike yet ... and neither body count .. i'll follow neo's build for now .. i tried it and it's good .. thanks for the advice :)
Ah that's a shame, well when the Stalker's acolytes come around again (which apparently is going to be pretty soon) make sure you farm for Maiming Strike as it opens up a whole new level for the Orthos in particular...I saw you are a fellow Orthos-lover so thought I'd share the secret to making it truly OP ;D Body Count is definitely worth picking up though for other builds and you can get that pretty cheap but Maiming Strike is insanely expensive and I see people (on XB1 at least) paying upwards of 300-1000 plat for it!
I never thought to look up how the lenses and stuff worked and with the passive stuff. I'm glad TH-cam recommended this video to me, I learned a lot. Also, it's honestly cheaper for the average player to just buy a greater lens with 40p than to grind for/rng/hunt down people selling normal ones, spending like 5p per normal lens, then using a forma (which most people buy, 20p per), and farming for everything else at the time. When you look at everything you need, 40p isn't bad, especially if you relic farm and sell things often.
PC Naramon best school. I'm so glad my friend recommended it to me. He saw how much I loved melee and he was like, "Pick Naramon" when I asked him what school I should pick.
Xbox one most people are unaware of this and it was hinted at in the video. focus scales from affinity gained. so a Warframe ability kill gets 100% affinity. weapon kills is 50% to weapon 50% to warframe. however shared affinity (teammate gets the kill) is 25% to warframe 75% to weapons (divided between how many are equipped). so if you don't want to waste affinity/focus, I recommend equipping ONLY the weapon with the lense and let your team get the kills OR put the lense on a powerful frame and get all the kills with your abilities. and this comment when longer than intended
If you read how exp works in the wiki.. it's 75% for the weapon that kills the enemy and 25% for your warframe. So killing with warframe abilities gives 100% affinity. WHILE Shared affinity (exp you gained when ur squadmates get a kill) is divided equally to your equipped items. i.e. its 25% each if youre fully equipped, 33% if you only equipped 2 weapons and so on. So if you want to level up multiple focus schools simultaneously, equip different lens on your loadout, use a support frame and let your squad do the killing. If you want to focus on one school, equip a lens on your dps frame (ember, saryn etc.) and kill with your abilities. btw nice guide mate..really helpful for newbies. I was really clueless when I get to choose my focus at the end of second dream. I'm one of the lucky ones that picked zenurik on a whim.
PS4. Thanks man. I've been wasting a lot of time not putting lens into my weapons. I completely forgot about the focus school. I was just so focused on getting through the story so I could catch up to my friends.
PC I feel like the best way of learning focus, is just dumping some plat into a few lenses and just messing around. Zenurik is the easiest thing to get into though.
Xb1 hey ive only recently found your channel and i have been on your streams and have played with you before and its amazing to play with someone like you. I really really enjoy your gameplay and keep up the work!
Awesome video your Orbiter looks amazing could you do a video on decorating the Orbiter my pictures that I put up in my Orbiter are super duper bright and they hurt my eyes to look at them so do you have a video on how to decorate an Orbiter
Naramon or Zenurik is the way to go. Madurai is ok if you use physical weapons. Unairu and Vazarin are just bad, and I made the terrible mistake of choosing unairu
No one explains anything, not even in game. Can you equip and use more than one school at a time? If so, do active and passives carry over to another school when you swap lens? What makes waybound different from passives? If you can only have one school, do you need to choose which one to settle in?
I read Nathan's response and it's not even a coherent sentence so here goes: You have 4 elemental damage types: heat, cold, poison and electric. These combine into different elements (corrosive, viral, blast, ...) when you add 2 elements on your weapon. When you attack with your weapon you will do damage of the type you have equipped. Check your codex to see what is good against which units. If it is not visible in the codex either check the wiki or do more scans (helios sentinel will scan for you making this way easier). All damage types both elemental and physical have a chance to "proc" a secondary effect f.i. corrosive will strip a part of the enemies armor, blast will knock the enemy down, slash will do damage over time that ignores enemy armor, ... The chance of your weapon doing the secondary effect depends on the status chance you have on your weapon. Obviously the higher the status chance the higher the change of the secondary effect occurring. Hope this helps.
Xb1 Your channel has been more than helpful, after a slow start I slowly worked up to almost twenty thousand plat. I also would like to know how to get the chroma warframe, the Saturn junction is bugged on a lot of consoles

I SOOOOOO regret not watching this video before making my decision.... I hate the school I chose lol I picked it based off of the description instead of the abilities.
I might have missed it but if I put a Madurai focus lens on my Banshee but also got a Naramon lens on my Volt, am I restricted to the Madurai abilities on my Banshee or is there some kind of a "toggle" so I can use the Shadow step passive from Naramon on Banshee even though she have a Madurai lens equipped?
PC. Finally, some good information on these focus school! XD Neo, i didn't understood where i can get Normal lens to build Greater lens? Keep up the great content :)
story get all planets do u can have access to all resources dont skip nodes speed run all of them first then when u get new weapons u will use it in formiliar territory instead of a mission u have no clue about
Now I completely understand lenses, thanks! Only thing I don't understand is for example: I have madurai and naramon school and my active school ability is always from madurai school. How to make naramon school active ability as primary then?
PS4- Can you please make a video explaining the difference between the different effects to your warframe power, effects from mods like intensely and such
Xbox One I have an Inaros, and i'm wondering whether I should Overpower him with a vazarin lens for health or pick Madurai so he can have an offensive ability, given his powers are built towards his survival and not pure damage.
Melee player-naramon school
Caster frame-zenurik school
healer/support-vazirin school
Base dmg-madurai school
and unairu isint bad for its ability but its passive is weak imo but its nice for cc
jakub pawelec well fuck i chose unaru. The ability is nice since im the tank of my team so they just kill everyone when i freese them
This is a cool perspective!.. CAN WE ALL UPVOTE THIS PLEASE
jakub pawelec I play solo mostly and I got Vazarin.
I was going to get the zenerik school but picked naramon then I didn't know that if you equip a differint lens on you war frame if you have one equiped equipped it gets destroyed so now I'm have the unairu lens on my war frame found out that I actually need naramon lens because I'm a melee user so how do I farm lens and can I change my focus school
what u mean nice for cc ( cc means ) ?!
So, somehow i finished second dream and war within and all that without realizing there is a whole different layer to the game now. Holy shit. This isnt normal my dudes. This game is something else.
Same and Idk if this is new or if it's been in the game for yrs
yeah like having 0 explanations for anything.
We need a focus school for platinum

I've had many questions involving the use of focus lenses, and this video explained it to perfection. Sir, you just got yourself a new subscriber :)

Finally someone who explained lens very simple. Because every video I go it is an old update. thanks a lot again.
PC.
Hello, just found your channel and am finding many helpful tips. Thank you for making videos like this that clear up any confusion people have for how things work and the process of working towards becoming a better tenno.

Xb1 Focus school what you need to know is zenurik and naramon master race
Thats what im "focusing" right now
Holy shit! I just finished 2nd dream and now neoness just released this video. Damnit. i wish i had knew these "Focus" earlier.
Your trade chat and all other videos are amazing great work
Xb1
Once again I have to thank you for a video. Anyone else who has tried to explain these to me have just made me even more confused. You made it really easy to follow.
Probly best frame channel i found so far keep it up
Started playing like few weeks ago and saw your channel. Its very helpful, i followed all your tips. work on the alerts and collected some mods to sell guess what i currently have 589 plats. thanks bro! More power
im on ps4 btw.
to make it easier to find the duration of the mission, look for passive. you see a bolded work saying passive above the description.
I don't know a lot of Xbox warframe TH-cam's but I think you are just as good as any youtuber keep up the good work
PC: Thanks for the guide mate; It really helps, even though I didn't unlock them yet, it's good to know for the future because I'm really close to Second Dream quest. A really great guide :D You're the best!

PC Naramon best school. I'm so glad my friend recommended it to me. He saw how much I loved melee and he was like, "Pick Naramon" when I asked him what school I should pick.
I took bad school for my first focus...how do I change it?do I need spendd plat on lens or what????
Gotta get some lenses from that school and earn enough focus in that school to unlock it
Xbox one most people are unaware of this and it was hinted at in the video. focus scales from affinity gained. so a Warframe ability kill gets 100% affinity. weapon kills is 50% to weapon 50% to warframe. however shared affinity (teammate gets the kill) is 25% to warframe 75% to weapons (divided between how many are equipped). so if you don't want to waste affinity/focus, I recommend equipping ONLY the weapon with the lense and let your team get the kills OR put the lense on a powerful frame and get all the kills with your abilities. and this comment when longer than intended

(Xbox One) Thank you sooo much for explaining focus schools, I picked Zenurik and I was totally lost afterwards lol
Remember when you could do the ultimate move before you unlocked the ability to walk around with your op and choose a school
PS4. Thanks man. I've been wasting a lot of time not putting lens into my weapons. I completely forgot about the focus school. I was just so focused on getting through the story so I could catch up to my friends.
PC thanks neo i already knew most of this however a few parts were really useful keep doing great
your green frames are looking so cool!I love these Warframe educational vids (:
PC I feel like the best way of learning focus, is just dumping some plat into a few lenses and just messing around. Zenurik is the easiest thing to get into though.
sweet video well needed for us all new guys
SO GLAD U DID THIS VID❤THIS REALLY HELPED ME❤❤❤❤❤
Xb1 hey ive only recently found your channel and i have been on your streams and have played with you before and its amazing to play with someone like you. I really really enjoy your gameplay and keep up the work!
Xb1 in my opinion I think the zenurik school is better than maduri
Nice video Neo😄 gave some clarity ✌️
[PC] Man, Narazom is fantastic. Totally spoiled myself by buying Greater Lenses. So cheap, and the earlier you buy them, the quicker you progress.
Thanks bro!!! This info is really helpful!!!!!
thank you for explaining that I was kind of confused on the focus School
Xbox 1 thanks for the vid i was pretty confused about all this ( it took me a week to realize i had to put lenses on to get focus)
Love your videos bro! Learn a ton from them thanks we appreciate you bro
PS4 thanks for clearing this up, it makes much more sense
PS4 Neo im so f ing proud of you! I've been in this community since 3k and i have see this growth... keep it up neo! Make us proud!
Pc. Thx for the vids I haven't completed the quest for second dream yet but now I know what focus school I want for sure thx bro😎
Awesome video your Orbiter looks amazing could you do a video on decorating the Orbiter my pictures that I put up in my Orbiter are super duper bright and they hurt my eyes to look at them so do you have a video on how to decorate an Orbiter
Ahhh my eyes his framerate

PC
Man thanks for you help actually have helped me alot bro
PC
great vid thnks for this I just finished the second dream quest and i had no idea what this was
Christ dude, throw me that plat! I need could use the slots!
PC struggle when you are mr3 and can't really trade...
Naramon or Zenurik is the way to go. Madurai is ok if you use physical weapons. Unairu and Vazarin are just bad, and I made the terrible mistake of choosing unairu
Wow. Never even knew this feature until now. Thought those doors were sealed off coz there was nothing.
No one explains anything, not even in game. Can you equip and use more than one school at a time? If so, do active and passives carry over to another school when you swap lens? What makes waybound different from passives? If you can only have one school, do you need to choose which one to settle in?
ps4 please explain status damages and all that jazz
I read Nathan's response and it's not even a coherent sentence so here goes:
You have 4 elemental damage types: heat, cold, poison and electric.

Hope this helps.
Thanks helped alot, just finished second dream
Xb1
Your channel has been more than helpful, after a slow start I slowly worked up to almost twenty thousand plat. I also would like to know how to get the chroma warframe, the Saturn junction is bugged on a lot of consoles
Tl;Dr the best school is zenruik
shut up
Somehow is true and somehow is false
the focus school looked so weird back then, wew time flys fast
How do you change schools?
Ps4 i have just started and am farming frost atm enjoying the game a ton after giving it a second shot
Whew. Good thing this is here. I would have been lost
awzome dude could not be explained any better! thanks
The problem i have is that i cant play as my operator, In a mission when i build up energy I am able to summon my operator for one powerful attack and then she vanishes, I dont get to control her or anything just do one lazer beam attack and then nothing, its back to my Tano. Im looking for a guild for when you first unlock your operator and how to get to build and be able to put gear on them and not just outfits.
you can upgrade the the void pulse mastery to get the energy overflow MUCH faster and you have a crap tone of focus to spend so... why don't you do that?
You can also trade sentient cores for focus points
I SOOOOOO regret not watching this video before making my decision.... I hate the school I chose lol I picked it based off of the description instead of the abilities.
FOR THE DURATION OF THE MISSION! In case you didn't get that from watching the video. LOL
Pc. I put my first lens on my Equinox. It was amazing
PS4 Oh, didn't even knew Naramon was so Good.
PC. Finally, some good information on these focus school! XD
Neo, i didn't understood where i can get Normal lens to build Greater lens?
Keep up the great content :)
great vid keep up the good work
You really put a lot of effort into your videos
Xb1 hey I started playing about a month AGO and I have no idea what to focus on do you have any tips
story get all planets do u can have access to all resources dont skip nodes speed run all of them first then when u get new weapons u will use it in formiliar territory instead of a mission u have no clue about
How to change focus school?
Very helpful now i found out how to make some greaters
PS4 I'm still working on unlocking my zenurik right now and I'm almost done
Now I completely understand lenses, thanks! Only thing I don't understand is for example: I have madurai and naramon school and my active school ability is always from madurai school. How to make naramon school active ability as primary then?
Go to your operator on your liset, and when you see the 5 schools, hover over naramon and it will tell you what to click to make it primary.
Ok thanks man I didn't notice that, I thought its manualy set :P
well the recent update completely changed how focus works, so how will we learn from thais now?
soundbreak3r xbox1: never really used my tenno, never thought it useful .-.
LOVE THE VIDEO / IF YOU PUT THE SAME LENS ON YOUR TENNO AND WEAPONS YOU GET 3 TIMES THE RATING
I'm a Chroma main (I wish I had prime) and my friend suggested Unairu. I heard Unairu wisp Chroma was good for Tridolons.
PC ASAPRanger: Ik this has nothing to do with the video but do you think getting Nekros Prime, Valkyr Prime or Frost Prime is worth it?
[pc] Are you planning on doing a new video on Focus 2.0?
PC thanks for this, i finished the second dream a while ago, and didn't have any idea about what to do with the lenses. I kind of feel stupid now, lol
PS4- Can you please make a video explaining the difference between the different effects to your warframe power, effects from mods like intensely and such
I could do this. For now, go into your warframes "stats" menu, and you'll be able to see how the mods are effecting your warframe.
Xbox One I have an Inaros, and i'm wondering whether I should Overpower him with a vazarin lens for health or pick Madurai so he can have an offensive ability, given his powers are built towards his survival and not pure damage.
Even Naramon is a little bit op, im so fuckin interested in the Zenurik way. But the only lenses i get are for Unairu :D
PC -- so should I put my first lens on my maxed Nyx Prime or wait until I get my newly created Valkyr Prime maxed?
PC - where can you get other lenses, like you had multiple of different types of lenses, so where'd you get them?
XBOX ONE:I had no idea about that. I've seen focus mods but didn't know what it meant. Thanx NeaNess007
How do u get that sexy ember display at 11:22?
