I do not agree with Lagos being tied to Abuja.. I feel Lagos does better music than Abuja..if not for packaging and class, I would have compared the singing In kaduna to even. Abuja... But wait oo, where did u drop makurdi??
I totally agree with you. I will be coming from a Catholic chorister point of view. Funny enough, I would rank Benue State ahead of Abuja in terms of rich choral traditions. In Abuja, exceptional choral music is often confined to a select group of elite choirs, which tend to maintain a distance from the broader population. In contrast, Benue State boasts thriving choral communities, particularly in the Markurdi and Gboko dioceses. The energy and passion for music in these areas are truly inspiring. My only problem with the Benue choral world is: Music in Benue state remains in benue state. They hardly explore. Benue state lacks exposure.
