Seems like he forgot that he put it there with Chaos Degrade. Though personally I would have evolved into Angewomon, search security and gain plus draw from inheritables as well as T.K.'s effect, drop the LadyDevi with Mirei, gain another memory with Angewomon inherit and then DNA into Maste, which resets inherits and gain even memory. He would have been safer that way.
I gotta say, I much prefer BT13 Kyaromon for the Digi-egg. 16:26 You would have been able to digivolve into Angewomon, used eff to put something into Security, given her jamming to run into the opps Ulforce in Sec, then DNA Digivolve to give Mastemon jamming also

He had a Magna ace in hand when ulforce attacked into Magna ace and didn't use it for DP minus and win the battle
