And that's the end. You CAN recreate this run on switch gba... to an extent. You can replicate everything in this run with 2 major exceptions. First one is in chapter 20 and it's caused by the mod itself. On turn 14 Raven misses a 91 with his steel sword, but you can work around this by using the longsword he's carrying which has JUST enough damage to kill the knight. The longsword's only used one more time in the run and the steel sword's sold in 31x before it breaks. (After this chapter however I stopped encountering 1 less hit/dodge for my ice affinity characters as most chapters had equal tactician stars until the finale) The second is the major one... in chapter 24, around turn 18 the wyverns' flight path begin to screw things up which'll make itself known on turn 19 EP, and set you on a slightly deviated rng you can't fully recover from! The way I worked around this was: When Heath's going to crit the wyvern from the north, I instead attack from the west, and then I used Oswin to burn (i think it was) 3 RN before end turn. The other wyvern that attack him on EP's then forced to take a slightly different flight route and the turn plays out 'normally'. On the next turn however, to get Raven's hp+res levelup, I had to perform Wil's movement, Serra's heal and Raven's boss attack BEFORE Heath kills the wyvern he's supposed to kill. This does set it back on the deviated rng however, and because of the altered positions, Dart must move 3 tiles to the left to avoid having the north wyvern attacking him; he will dodge the incoming attacks. End turn, and everything works out similar enough during EP. Final turn, Dart and Heath have no trouble doing their tasks, but before Lowen, Guy and Oswin perform their attacks on Linus, I burned one more RN to get the right hit/miss order. However at this point, I gave up trying to get it the same with Wil's last levelup, and I just kept burning RNs until he get a kill and a levelup that I figured was good enough. I forgot how many I did for the one I settled on, which was HP, skill, luck, def. The altered stats are small enough that Wil won't be affected in the future chapters. As a side effect however, Merlinus' levelup from this chapter gave him 2 hp but no def+res that yours did. (yyyyyyeah I did find merlinus after all, he was further up the list and ended up with 1 more hp and 1 less def and res than yours) This was a fun way to kill some time for 3 weeks, and the battle history final score is... 2 tactics, 5 everything else. B-rank, 112 stars, 922056 funds, 15h58m45s ...maybe I should do an ACTUAL ranked run sometime, I've just never really wanted to.
@@genericusernamething c: leaving it up to you whether or not you wanna tell mekkah in your next recording that it worked out for the most part, as well as if you do, you can choose to include the two snags i described. considering i DID plan on writing in the future commentary uploads if something interesting happened in said chapter but at the same time i did like his reaction to the affinity already, he might get a kick out of chapter 24's description xD and do remember, i DID play this on the eng/fre/ger pal eu version instead of the us version
i have actually reached the final chapter. going into it, my rankings are 2 stars in tactics, 5 stars in the rest. as for tactician stars i start the chapter with 8. also i just learned you can't check merlinus' stats from the battle prep in the eng/fre/ger pal version oHo so my lv 9 stats just had 47 hp, 11 def, 5 res.
@@genericusernamethingtbh i expected to see a 1/5 by now with all the excessive turn counts you had for most of the latter half of the playthrough. but i'll take a look at it again at the battle history after the epilogue. right now i'm just waiting for the switch to charge... again xD i'll tell the details once it's over
Would a run like this be possible on FE6? Bringing all your unpromoted units to level 20 while still keeping ranks. I would be curious about that. That game isn't exactly kind to enemy phasing so it would make for a tough run, especially on hard mode.
Probably. Melth was able to complete ranked 100 turns faster than the requirement and managed to get everyone except armor knights, archers, and Wade to level 20. If you give yourself those 100 extra turns it's probably guaranteed.
This was a wonderful run! Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Fantastic work, and a great watch all the way through. Now enjoy a well-earned rest.
Hah, thanks!!!
my boy canas, who knew you could beat dragons in a single turn

Thanks for your feedback! I'm glad to know it is (mostly) replicable, I was hoping for it to be when making it. Glad you had fun lol

lmao I didn't realize tactics was quite that bad
