This is from a hater's perspective. Bhakt Singh may be a great man but, what I see in his story is continuous hatred, escapism. Most importantly a person who wanted to show himself as a Westerner to prove himself and have supremistic hold/ recognition within India. In truth, Hindus or Sikhs never hate any other religion including Christians or Muslims. For us they are also a way to reach the divine. What we do not agree with, and Christians or Muslims should have the stomach to digest any disagreement if they really have that wisdom is their hangover with that their version is the only truth and Jesus is the only way, and that we all have sinned. We go to Church and we go to Masjid and for us, they all are paths to the divine. Unlike, Christians we do not become bitter about other religions, detesting them, insult denying their prayers or offering, thinking that they are all mere sacrilege/ blasphemy/ live in self-proclaimed supremism. We believe that we all are sons of God/ not slaves and we all have the right to find our own Moksha/ Salvation without any mediator in between. In my home, I have Alter of Jesus Christ and of Islam both and of Parsi Zoroastrianism. We hate only the supremistic ideology and we do not believe that any God, Son Of God, Avtar, Rabbi, Paiganbar can take away our own sins/ our own doing. We are the makers and destroyers of our own life, and it is only we who suffer or make right our doings. Our imagination of God is not someone who punishes us eternally for eating an Apple. We hate Christians and Muslims trying to convert people and we are so naive that we fall into their trap. As a Hindu I do not have to convert to believe in Christ, as a Hindu I can become whomever I want and seek my Mukti. That is the power I am bestowed upon and I am never hateful of any religion. We believe all religions are great and have tremendous possibilities. Religions just like nature should never be fixated or a cause of pulling out your ownership over your life. It should not incorporate in you cowardice and hatred towards other religions or your own past. Many in my family are Christian just like there are Vaishnavs and Shaivas. They felt their Isht in Christ but, they though baptised where never bitter about Hinduism or understood what truly is spiritual and what is not. They still believed the Monism philosophy of Hinduism, celebrate all festivals and still call themselves Hindu despite a Christian, just like a Vaishnav is a Hindu. Almost 10% of Guru Granth Sahib speaks of Jesus and Bible and unfortunately he didnt understood anything of it. A Sikhi never hates a Christian and we as Hindu are blessed that we can read, understand and follow any path we wish. This is a wonderful testimony for people who do not understand what they are upto and are trying to imitate resulting in brainwashing them. I would belive a testimony by a Christian truely when he/she do not have to use Hindus or Muslims hate endorsement to his/her claim for Christianity. "Hindu Koi Kathorta Nahi Rakhte Christians ke prati". I dont know from where he is getting all those notions. Even if I am an athiest, or a Gay or a person of whatever belief Hinduism does not victimize me or does not snatch away my right for Mukti or in a Christian case my Salvation. My brother converts you have got all the wrong about your own heritage in the name of peace.
