This is really interesting - I’ve been looking at some plants but been put off because they like high humidity and I don’t have humidifiers so is good to know that some can cope without 👍.
Yes I’m quite surprised how well they are doing! It just seems to be the rare anthuriums that require much higher humidity 🌿

You can put a cloche to the relatively smaller or dormant like plants struggling heavily with low humidity. Wouldn’t be as good as a humidifier but better than nothing at least. This is a very informative and helpful content experimenting low humidity effects on different plants. I’m sure it would be helpful for a lot of people. So thank you for that 😊

Darn, 39 is my humidity with 2 humidifiers going…but my cabinet is 80 to 90.

I’m new to your channel and really loved watching and learning from this video! I have had some major leaf damage on a few of my special rhizomatous begonias and it looked like their damage but I’m not sure since I can’t find the thrips! Can you please do a video about managing thrips? And also - what is the name of the product you said you use? I couldn’t quite understand.

Are you dealing with mealy bugs ? I thought I had seen a few. I place my plants in the bathtub, and use a pesticide soap on the leaves.
No mealey bugs just thrips on a few plants on my office 🌿
I might be wrong but your anthurium forgetii looks like it might have spider mites. Maybe that's why the leaves die back as soon as they open.
They don’t die back straight away. I might move it and see if it’s happier somewhere else 🌿
Do you still have your vanilla orchid? Your plants mostly seem fine without running a humidifier. You can put plants outside in the summer. I do and my plants love it. I miss seeing Monster and Marvin in your videos. Thank you.

… are you using the word ‘weird’ as a euphemism for something that is unpleasantly different to what you’re used to or are you saying the plant looks supernatural and unearthly?
I happened to now u have a pet parrot but how do u get rid of pest without using chemicals,or do the pest killer chemicals not harm them
If I need to treat any plants I put them in the bath tub, open the window and shut the door to the bathroom and then once they have dried I put them back, there’s no fumes then. Although the spray I use doesn’t seem to have much of a smell to it anyway 🌿
Have you tried placing water bowls in between your plants ?
Yes I used to do this before I had my humidifiers. I made a video a few years ago on how to raise the humidity without a humidifier, it still wouldn’t be enough for the anthuriums though

I found you by searching for low humidity indoor plants. Here in Southern AZ, we too have to run humidifiers at times during the summer. Frustrating, but I'm not bringing cacti indoors 😂
