    at 10:30 he explains the breakdown of the axillary artery into the the 3 parts where it gives off branches. 1) on top of pectoralis minor, branches into superior thoracic artery. 2) under pectoralis minor it branches into lateral thoracic artery + dorsal acromial artery. 3) under pectoralis minor, branches into subscapular artery + circumflex humeral artery anterior + circumflex humeral artery posterior.

    hi. I was wondering if you might be able to confirm if I am identifying the musclo cutaneous nerve in my video.
    please excuse the bizarre request.

    • @SamWebster
      @SamWebster  7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I'm not sure what you're looking at in your surface anatomy videos. From how the camera is pointed I think you're looking at the medial side of your cubital fossa (anterior to the elbow joint). The musculocutaneous nerve dives deep to the biceps brachii muscle and innervates the muscles in the anterior arm proximal to the elbow. It's fairly centralish for most of its length here, and deep in the upper arm. It does most of its work innervating those flexors of the elbow joint. We usually see it then run laterally towards the cubital fossa and off to the lateral forearm from which it carries cutaneous sensation.

    dude i love your personality, but by simplifying the topics you teach (not going into detail) PLUS all the little detours you do, you end up with an extremely long video with really not that much information in it. this is just a bit of healthy criticism, id love to watch your videos but i dont have that much free time

    • @angelainglismusic
      @angelainglismusic 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Sam shares a depth and breadth of knowledge in his videos that few have. I don't think his aim is to be a "live textbook", regurgitating specific, detailed anatomical terms so that people can memorize them and pass tests. Sam helps us understand the body as a whole. If you want details and facts, it seems your text book would be your best source. Finally, I'm not sure how many videos you've watched, but the majority of his videos provide far more information than the title suggests rather than far less, as you've suggested in your comment.

      Do you prefer spending so much time on a textbook that is difficult to understand than his videos?🙄🙄
