Lambo helped developed the original engine and some became Team Viper.It's safe to say this newer motor still hearkens back to mi familia
8.4 litres of crap horsepower, cars with way smaller displacements that have FI are faster. Vipers have always been crap.
DC Rising. It makes more torque and gets better fuel economy than most of those F1 engines.
F1 is great on a track but doesn't translate well on the road. They have to rev higher to make the same power and when they do achieve the same output it's concentrated somewhere above 8k.
Fiftycalibur are we talking forced induction engines or other engines haha.
Niko Bellic 8.4 liter making just over 600 is pretty pathetic, when america can make a naturaly aspirated engine surpassing 100 horsepower per liter displacement then we talk again.
19mpg's highway is still better than I thought for that amount of displacement.

Nice video David! I agree so much with your comment about the Viper deserving more respect. I rode in the previous gen ACR around VIR a few years ago and my mind was blown. They perform right up there with many "supercars" and even surpass many of them. Keep up the great work man!
This Viper moves out. Seen many wins by this particular Viper. It's a beast and is faster than it would seem with just bolt ons.
Driving it and how it put down the power so well really impressed me. Keeping up with a K series turbo hatch that ways nothing is impressive as hell.

Lol a good friend has one i rode in it and it is an absolute blast ridiculous power and enough grip to stop earth lol. It will burn the crap off of your calves tho so you literally have to hop out of it.

As a two time Viper owner (Gen 2 and now a T/A) they are not even close. The Gen 2 was a great car. The T/A is in a different universe all together! I am interested in seeing the new ACR

I appreciate SRT still building high torque car with big displacement+ V10 instead of hybrid, turbo or supercharge with low displacement V6 or V8. I also appreciate Manual is the only option for SRT Viper. There's no car on earth can be as track focus and unique as the Viper. The ACR is a big example, the engineering of chassis, suspension, control arms, roll bars, shocks, placements, etc are track car grade. This is a complete track car that'll bring Corvette, Porsche RS and many other (track focused) supercars into shame.
Its lap times are still remarkable
+Nick Rodriguez wrong the engine is dead but there using the same design from the hellcat engine to make a new v10 get your facts right and viper will never die

You are so right,the viper will shame the corvette z06 ,and double shame Porsche .I love c7s and that 10.4 they run on stock tires,but I would choose a viper either ways,what car on the road is that good handling without anything but a simple lip(wing)Let alone the ACR,that spanked very hypercar on planet earth at like 20 tracks.And God the looks,so aggressive and elegant along with side exhaust pipes?Just badass
Another great review, the Viper is one of my favorites, the TA package is very neat and tidy, that is one great looking car. Nice camera work as usual David, I can't believe how great some of those shots came out in 1080p on my TV. Again, this channel has quickly become one of my favorites, you manner and method of describing the driving experience of each different car is something rare.
Keep up the great work, I look forward to more great things.

Very very cool video ThatDudeinBlue Saw the crane action--loving it... nice combo. As for the car, unusual color and OMG the power. The look on your face when you put your foot into it is #PRICELESS. You are so focused.. LOL. The displacement is always sick on the Viper. Crazy sick with the bolt on. The look of the viper is much better than the C7 if you ask me. Yes.. TUNNEL!!!

It's about 50/50. Sometimes the owner is with me, sometimes they go get lunch and throw me the keys myself. Lol. Depends on the day.

Great Video David, as always! Love for the Viper here in my small town. We have an ex Shelby driver that has a full bolt on 2013 Viper and a C7 ZR1 running the roads here in Appalachia!
This car is like raw dogging a gorgeous European chick on vacation not giving a shit and yelling America while a majestic bold eagle sits on your shoulder.
As a russian guy, I'd sell any 458 or cliche lambo and buy 3 of these in red, white, blue and a bold eagle pet just to feel American, this car looks,sounds and feels amazing. Manual gearbox with that much N/A torque and HP, I had to think of my grandma just not to splurge in my pants.

I still wouldn't put the Viper on the supercar category just like I wouldn't put a R8, but the Dodge Viper is definitely more special and more supercar than the Corvette.
Can you explain because the Viper has the most torque out of every naturally aspirated car. Faster than a Huracán, Z06 , 458, etc. It's faster in a straight and on a track. That's why the viper holds the record for the laguna. Care to explain why you don't think the R8 isn't one either. It's basically just gallardo. Espicially the new one, 610hp, same as the Huracan, the performance on both cars is astounding! What's your excuse?
Why wouldn't you put the r8 in the super car category that is one of the ultimate modern super cars
The R8 is known as the budged supercar but I wouldn't say the V8 is a supercar, the low end 911 models aren't supercars too because they are not exotic like a Viper, 458 and stuff, they are sportscars.
There are levels to this guys, they can tune and supercharge the Vette but it won't look exotic like a Viper.
