I've followed Jesus for many long years. God has been with me all my days, in spite of who I am. Tim, your videos have been a blessing from above. My wife and I and our children have benefited from your insights. Thank for your labors. God be with you. I'll chat with you in the coming Kingdom to thank you in person.

In my darkest times, I go to the Garden. I go to the time before my Lord was beaten, tortured, and killed. I stay awake with Him, pray with Him, and console Him. My Lord God, and King.....may your Word be done in all things.
    I love you, Jesus.

I've been binging on Tim Mackie’s lectures. He brings so much more out of these stories and makes you think more deeply. A question that occurred to me today is, if the disciples were asleep, then they couldn't have heard Jesus's prayer? Did Jesus tell them after he rose from the dead?

Thank you. I had a day riddled with anxiety and was only able to get though it by praying through it. It all went well but there is one more thing I still need to take care of. I am worried now and dreading that it too will turn into anxiety while I wait for the weekend to end so I can deal with it. I am so grateful for your words, I will keep praying and working on my worry.
I have watched a couple of your videos and have learned much. Thank you again, I will keep watching.

123tube456 I am in the same boat as you...very nervous, anxious but knowing some things need to be done and cleared up , no matter what the outcome . We need to trust that GOD has our backs and that however it turns out, thats the way GOD wants it to be . I’m praying for a wonderful outcome for you! May GOD bless your life from this day forward !

This is one of my best scriptures . I believe he did put himself in our place because I have felt the same way, desperate for help and no one to save me from being tortured , until I called to Jesus and placed my life in his hands. Now , like it never happened , now I do pray for my enemies , that their heart be touched by the power that only Jesus has to give each one of us.
And because he did I know I too can overcome because I live in Christ and he in me , the promise that we have been given the power if we believe in him , to continue no matter what.
In Jesus name , I pray that, we all be bold in representing Jesus , keeping him alive in all that we do. Amen.

Thank you Tim! This was recommended to me in my Bible Study by a Christian artist’s guitarist, who helps teach our class and teaches from the Hebrew Cultural NIV study Bible. Your message was so thought provoking and profound, and will offer valuable information in the volunteer work that I do in MH and Suicide Crisis First Aid following my pastor’s oldest son succumbing to suicide. These Human emotions of Jesus, especially for men, are rarely discussed or shared. ❤️❤️🙏🙏

This is so immensely powerful; exploring both Jesus' incredibly vulnerable humanity, and a moment that, as you said, without its recording, we would have a woefully incomplete picture of our Savior's terror, and moments of human doubt and weakness, but also seeing His awe-inspiring strength and faith in His Father's will and promises. The back and forth to the Old Testaments, too, noticing all the points where Jesus pulled from prophecies is one of my favourite things about your sermons. It paints such a vivid, rich picture with so many layers and nuances. Thank you!!

Does everyone not see that we are just like Jesus...we all have our story of what life brings to us..it is how you respond to life and seeking God thru it so that you can Open up Heaven here on Earth...Everything you teach about I see and live it and it is like a mystery we have to unlock...but we got to try... start seeking God in your thoughts...no matter what life brings you and pray for your enemies then you will open up the kingdom of heaven here on earth.. it is AMAZING!!!

Could it be that Jesus was overwhelmed with not only knowing what He’d have to endure physically, but more so the fact that for the first time ever, His fellowship with the Father would be broken? As the Son of Man, for 33 years (His whole life) He’s been in perfect harmony with the Father, and now for a time, there will be a divide.

Absolutely, that's what spiritual death mean: separation from God=death. For the first time he's going to experience death and he's shaken and frighten; ....[ Father... if there is not other way..." but as you will"].

I had a situation once that was so impossible, i just needed someone to just be there, but she just kept at me asking over and over what was i going to do? I told her there was nothing i could do...i just had to go through each day as it unfolds until the Lord showed me. She said i had to figure it out, but it wasn't possible. There was no solution ...no where to turn, no one who could help. I just needed a friend.

Wow. Jesus is way better than me. I know that's a given because he's God and whatever, but I've never felt so embarrassed next to Jesus. I'd be like Peter, maybe, if I even made it as far as he did. Failing Jesus by sleeping would still be an accomplishment for me.

Jesus was the only true empath. He felt the pain of the human condition ALL THE TIME. That’s why He was a man of sorrows. But His panic attack that night came from the horror of ‘becoming sin’ on the cross - don’t you think?

It is time for believers worldwide to WAKE UP, get serious about reading the WORD, obeying what we read and STOP putting our trust in man!
Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart turns away from Yahweh"(Jeremiah 17:5)
We have been LIED TO in Churches about the Name above all names. Our Creator has a Name - YAHWEH and He put His Name upon His one and only begotten Son - YAHSHUA.
Be on guard before Him and obey His voice. Do not rebel against Him, for He is not going to pardon your transgression, for My Name is in Him." (Exodus 23:21)
We have been LIED TO about the SABBATHS of Yahweh.
Also the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to Yahweh, to serve Him, and to love the Name of Yahweh, to be His servants, all who guard the Shabbath, and not profane it, and hold fast to My Covenant - them I shall bring to My qodesh mountain, and let them rejoice in My house of prayer." (Isaiah 56:6-7)
We Have been LIED TO about the COMMANDS of Yahweh.
And by this we know that we know Him, if we guard His Commands. The one who says, 'I know Him,' and does not guard His Commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever guards His Word, truly the love of Elohim has been perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. (1 John 2:3-5)
It is time to PRAY for an opening of BLINDED EYES to understand His loving Covenant to ISRAEL, who we MUST be GRAFTED IN TO to become the children of Yah! It's time to shelve our learning inherited from "the whore" and become as little children to allow the Spirit of Yah to re-instruct us in the TRUTH!
Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become as little children, you shall by no means enter into the reign of the shamayim." (Matthew 18:3)
It's time to CLEAN UP our act and to cease wallowing in the abominations and lusts of the world!
Come out from among them and be separate, says יהוה, and do not touch what is unclean, and I shall receive you." (2 Corinthians 6:17)
A total enslavement is coming very very soon. You want Truth with Scripture go to 2besaved dot com.

Jesus was in deep distress because he was about to take upon him all the sin of the world and that meant separation from his Father, because God is holy and cannot be close to sin, that's the reason, not the pain of dying on the cross, but separation from his Father. Ps 22 says it so clear, my God my God why have you forsaken me...

Using the term panic attack is very demeaning to Jesus who is experiencing indescribable suffering for the sins of the whole world. It likens his experience to that of our pathetic modern culture who suffer a panic attack whenever they can't have access to their smart phone for 5 minutes. Other than that the sermon is great. Something few Pastors ever fully preach on.

@@sethdistler5332 I am not being critical of those who experience panic attacks. I have a son who experiences them. In Jesus case though he was fully aware of the real torment he was going to experience. Something no human will ever go through.
