    ABOUT THE FILM
A hopeful couple is excited to give their relationship another try after working through their problems in therapy. But a conversation with their mothers makes them question whether their love is forever flawed. Love vs. Family is the short film version of a much larger story that explores compatibility, uncertainty, and how familial approval can affect your feelings toward your partner, for better or for worse.

What an incredible film! It hurt seeing both mothers project their feelings and hurt onto their children, especially Hartley’s mother. I am so looking forward to what happens next with Hartley and Jehlani ❤❤❤

Good story premise telling our ups and downs of the stages and challenges taking place in today's relationships that take a personal toll on all persons connected to the lovers.

Black parents are tough and black moms are the toughest. It's hard to decipher between what sound advice you should take and when to make decisions for yourself that you can live with. At the end of the day, you have to live a life you can be satisfied with... Jay-Z once stated that his uncle told him he couldn't be who he is today, but Jay-Z made it despite it. His uncle couldn't do it and that is his uncle, but Jay-Z made it happen because he believed he could. Just gotta know what you really want and what risks you're really willing to take. Sometimes momma knows best and sometimes life is the better teacher.

Definitely can relate. Our parents mean well but it goes left sometimes. I would assume that both of these mothers are single, and misery loves company so they want to see their kids stay single too. I take my mom’s relationship advice with a grain of salt. I wouldn’t be happily married today if I’d followed her advice (no offense mom). This movie is showcases how parents can manipulate their kids into fulfilling their own agendas…sad
