      All I'm doing is translating the codes for you. It is you that takes the time and dedication to study! Good luck! You got this.

    No apologies needed. We aren't artists, for the reasons we are plumbers; and honestly, your drawings by and large, are better than most I've been presented.
    Thanks Ben.

      Wow. Starting with chapter 5? Of all the chapters, I've always felt that to be the most technical. You have any questions, reach out and I'll be happy to assist!

      Thanks! I'm working on it. Teaching for 20 years one way and then being thrust online has been an interesting journey.

    Redundant bump for algorithm purposes, and to say I like transition glue for pvc to pvc, I'd use it always if it was cost effective.
    The viscosity is more forgiving, plenty strong, and I like the green joints; no pun intended.

      @BGsPlumbingClass  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. I did a video on sizing alone. Check it out.

    707.4(3) Sucks. Many times this something that backing up a drain on 2nd or 3rd level and there are no cleanouts up there, and lots of times you find your snake is too short to clear the backup. Why isn't the upper level cleanout out not considered the upper terminal? Like that one in chapter 6, where mult-dwelling units each require a shut off, then never have it. I've worked on some condos where you even have to have the fire department come out and shut down the whole building to change angle stops, what a pain. (Older buildings I guess)

    • @BGsPlumbingClass
      @BGsPlumbingClass  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have made me laugh out loud here!!! Nice rant. It seems logical to have to put individual shut offs at each unit doesn't it? And although not required by code, cleanouts are a great idea in accessible locations above the first floor. I have on many occasions pulled wall mount water closets, trap arms, etc just to gain access for a snake.

      @@BGsPlumbingClass Yeah, removing fixtures and traps someone cause additional problems. You know stuff is told, and always getting wet, so ware are dealing with corrosion on screws, nuts and brass traps etc. meaning we have to repair sometimes toilet flanges or give the client a new - p trap because we touched it. The chrome plated brass trpas are like $50 now, and people expect to pay $49 to clear a clog. haha.

      @@jmac213stuff A good idea is to be upfront with the customer, saying the condition is corroded and could possibly be irreparable if touched. Additional costs may be required. That way they know right off the bat that it wasn't your fault. Also, educate them as much as possible while you're there and be sure they understand WHY.

    Can you clarify what is an approved double fixture fitting? Double wye, double San tee, figure one and figure five all look the same to me. Thanks

      Andy, apologies for the late response. I will provide a fitting identification video to clarify.
