Welcome to the Taste Cebu: Food and Wine Festival 2024! We're thrilled to share the highlights of our grand opening at the magnificent NUSTAR Resort and Casino. This marks the beginning of a month-long celebration dedicated to Cebu's rich culinary heritage and vibrant identity.
Under the theme "Taste Cebu," this year's festival perfectly captures the coastal freshness and lively nightlife that define Cebu's culinary spirit. The evening began with a warm welcome from Mr. Alan Teo, Chief Operating Officer of NUSTAR Resort and Casino, setting the stage for an unforgettable event.
The Grand Ballroom was artfully divided into three unique sections: the Wave Tasting Zone, the Peak Tasting Zone, and the Warmth Tasting Zone, each representing distinct elements of Cebu.
We were honored to have Ms. Kate Dychangco-anzani, founder of the Cebu Food and Wine Festival (CFWF), share a special message about the festival's role in celebrating and preserving Cebu's culinary traditions. The Tasting Experience was further enriched by the culinary talents of three renowned chefs-Chef David Thien, Chef Risa Revilla Thien, and Chef Sau del Rosario-who showcased their unique interpretations of beloved Cebu dishes.
A heartfelt message of support was delivered by DOT Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, highlighting the importance of events like these in promoting the region's cultural and culinary heritage.
The ceremony's highlight was the First Bite, a symbolic start to the festival, led by Ms. Kate Dychangco Anzani, Ms. Katrina Mae De Jesus (AVP Resort Marketing and Business Development), Mr. Alan Teo (COO of NUSTAR Resort and Casino), Hon. Raymond Alvin Garcia (acting Mayor of Cebu City), and DOT Secretary Christina Frasco.
