Microsoft 365 includes things like the online versions of Word and Powerpoint. This is where we are at. Even some governments in the EU have gone ahead and started using LibreOffice and Linux as thier primary workflow. Don't depend on companies like this for basic functionality.
This road was very clearly marked a decade ago. You're absolutely right.
Also, LibreOffice is on Windows too.
@@Baconator2558 there are many alternatives - you have to try the limitations and capabilities of each to make the right decision. Some struggle with pdf's, other struggle with print page layouts.
Thats why the first thing i do when owning new devices is stoping the automatic updates since 8 years ago

Even with cash we are ruled by I T, as you can not even buy anything if computers go down as no one knows the price as the bar code scanners are part of the I T system for price, description and stock control etc etc.

Computers have been hacked and capitec has decided to shut down their systems mainly because they dont have a cyber department they just use computers like us.

@@Technology24 there are still many dudes out there with critical scarce skills still unemployed who can work with both window and Linux systems. If these people are really serious about their businesses on recruiting people, no one with Linux experience or familiarity with it would be unemployed. We always start somewhere before becoming experts in something.
@@Gabriel-xq6tn Very true that.They opt to pay ransoms instead of hiriring security analysts .Maybe the analysts must see this as an opportunity for them.I remember when I was still at varsity and this student hacked into the systems and paid his fees.After the investigation he was caught out and they ended up giving him a job before he even completed his degree .It shows how basic our level of understanding is when it comes to cyber security in general .

thats way i disable update ,and still windows 11 do update by force,keep update optional
Please don't do that. Once an exploit becomes common knowledge your machine is at high risk until you update.
Dude, you should still update regardless. Microsoft isn’t supporting Windows 11 and when hackers learn one exploit, you’re screwed.
I have noticed this yesterday and I kind of think that was a DoS attack. Bizarre early yesterday morning I was doing research on Cyber security stuff. What a coincidence !🥺
