My dad works at the DRI and as i kid i used to love going to his boring office mainly because of all the seized super cars and bikes in the parking lot. Sometimes its just sad seeing all those beautiful machines just collecting dust.

The originally the person who bought said he is getting it for personal use, but was a dealer and had flipped it for a quick buck. I had collated the documents for cancellation of NOC (note: got the NOC cuz Karnataka had that stupid 1 month registration rule, it has been set aside by the HC now) but it expired as the buyer never bothered to submit the transfer documents and NOC cancellation. Please be careful with such people who pose as buyers. In the end i had to pull strings and located the vehicle and got him behind bars before he coughed up the truth and details of the individual he sold the vehicle. Finally, had to get the NCRB work done again. Side Note: As per MV act the original owner is liable for all including insurance etc if the vehicle is not reregistered (it can bankrupt you), in case the NOC is not cancelled or vehicle is not registered it is technically grey. In case of accidents the insurer can deny claims. Worst if caught and documents are inspected properly vehicle maybe seized. BTW Good luck as the buyer you wont be able to do jack even (if you got agents) as the paperwork can be processed only by the original owner.
