They have a choice whether to resume the civil war or not afterwards. - If you have an alliance with a vassal whose lord you're about to invade, you can neither occupy his domains nor include them in your casus belli. - Attacking a revolting vassal will not incur war with his lord. The lord can later send a demand to take back his lands though.
I have an idea for a challenge in eu4/any game really: Always be at war Self explanatory. You have to always be at war with someone. You can be at peace while paused (ie during the start or after a peace deal) but you must declare a war before you unpause. You don’t have to take anything/win (unless it’s too easy otherwise)
You can actually tell when your truce is up, you just have to check in your own diplomacy screen, not theirs, since the truce binds you from attacking them, not the other way around (truces are generally not two-way in ck3).
Laith, the map color of The North Sea Empire is in my humble opinion one of the most pleasing colors in the game. I have been playing it myself and I found very pleasing to the eye.

Whenever I try to form Mann and the isles I’m always assassinated halfway between the penultimate level and living legend, it’s been getting so frustrating im half tempted to do the marriage exploit to try to avoid this
It is pretty easy when you try it this way Start as Haesteinn assisnate right at the begining King Charles of West Francia (he tries the same with you and late with Eudes of Anjou House: Capet), do a varangian adventure to the baltic coast (Rostock, Rügen, Lübeck. You can get both the Jomsvikings as basically free mercs, which you can form the second you have a holding owned by you on the south coast of the Baltic sea). Raid and kill neighbouring cities. Form the Jonsvikings first as for once the AI tries to form them too and you are unable to form them the moment you have a feudal kingdom As Haestein already has the plundering perk should be feasible to get both Jomsvikings and Man and the Isles if you survive the assasination attempts of Charles and Eudes (or yeah just kill the both of them start with Charles because for once he has his plot against you on the way at the start of the game and Eudes is still a child) For one I do this because Haesteinn starts as Feudal with only Montaigu as Norse - Asatru between 3 powerfull Catholic powers (Aquitaine in the South East, Brittany in the North West, and West Francia in the East/North East) and by varangian down to the baltic sea south coast you are back to tribal which makes troops rediculusly cheap (espacially the norse varagians and huscarls)

Hey laith instead of giving titles to the random person on top of the give titles list. Hit “give to local noble” or give to noble of local culture. The first one will give you I think either 100 prestige or 500 and the other gives cultural acceptance
Quick addendum is both of these options with be of your faith. Meaning it can be really beneficial to give to local nobility for more than culture acceptance
You need to have troops in every barony, not county, to prevent someone from raising their troops. AI will let you raid them, unless they have more troops than you (regardless of quality).
Even one province minors can raise troops, they can raise them in any holding within each county they own. Including the holdings you can't siege like churches.
@@connorgrant1816 True. I think the AI lately recognizes when it is so utterly outnumbered that it shouldn't raise troops. Though its ironic since if troops are already raised they tend to spam attack until they stack wipe themselves.

Norway in 867 is incredibly wild and dangerous and you basically either expand or get conquered. So I was this 7 year-old ordering grown men to go take land for him! 😅
I have a challenge for you start in Scandinavia in 867 in 50 years claim all of Scandinavia, England, Scotland , Ireland and solve the fate of Iberia as a Norse ruler without creating a kingdom solving the fate of Iberia will dejure make it part of Scandinavia but you will also have enough land to create the north sea kingdom
Yo I also say random pleasing words all the time. My go to is: "the ham n the chocolate n the jam n the cheese n the ham n the chocolate..."etc I say it faster and faster every time till I get a good cadence going. Very pleasing to say
+ the special soldiers that some characters (ivar/halfdan/haesteinn...etc) get at the start of the game also dont replenish, i personally get so minorly annoyed by it i often dont use the event troops as halfdan or ivar. i do as haesteinn as they stand down on succession, and charles is adamant on going after me until one of us dies, and since everyone hates you as haesteinn its not hard for that to succeed
I would play as Ivar but the fact that he is so young is just so immersion breaking to me that I can't do it. Same with the 867 start date as a whole with the slavs and vikings not converting to christianity.
I like getting Man + the northern isles into a single kingdom, and also (usually by cheats or switching) creating the danelaw. If you have Mann and Wales as your kingdom. Every vassal king can have 4 full duchy vassals. Edit: every on the British isles. Never integrated the North Sea into it.
Let's say it take "10" whatever to build somthing. 100% bonus to build time means it takes 5 to build because you've essentially cut time to build in half. 200% bonus is equivalent to bringing the build time down to 2.5.

ive had him once or twice actively go for my event stack (him as in the one im not playing, as its happened both as ivar and halfdan)

I had separate allies in separate wars once and they would both try joining my army and kill each other

i personally prefer to start as his vassal Ketill Flatnefr and either go for "King of All the Isles" or just play insanely tall as a 1 barony king.

The reason why your levies are missing is that the special soldiers from forming mann and the isles dont't replenish.

You realise the huge prestige you need to get to achieve Living Legend? I've tried this using hunts and feasts, you get nowhere close.
