Being from Maharashtra I used to hear this song since childhood, inspite of being sung by one of the best singers in country, I really didn't appreciate it that much ..I guess there was a residue of ego of the singer in the song which was sung then.. This is the basic difference in songs of Isha, the songs are devoid of one's ownself. Thank you Maa for connecting with the divine.
Today I am feeling very proud after listening, after knowing that this song, which being a maharashtriyan I have heard so many times, is also sung by Sounds of Isha. Now I feel that bharat has such a great culture, different devotees from different states have expressed their feelings through poems in such a nice way!! It's amazing!

The snake rests on his garland and ash is smeared all over his body
He is a yogi of lifetimes together
Should I call him dispassionate prideful one or an enjoyer of pleasures?
He stands together with primordial feminine (while) ganga flows from his head
Its not just the meaning of this but the emotion incorporated with it makes it touch
